AbstractAbstract
[en] Physical foundations of the muon method for investigation into solids are considered. The method is based on studying time-dependent variations in polarization of muons delayed and thermalized in substance. The possibility is shown of investigating superfine muon and electron interactions in muonium and simulating atomic hydrogen behaviour in materials. Basic trends in metal investigations by the muon method are outlined where the muon implanted in substance is used as a probe of the local magnetic field

AbstractAbstract
[en] Analysis and calculation have been performed with respect to local magnetic fields in nickel, cobalt and iron lattices with the use of the Ehwald's method. Based on the calculation results regularities have been established of the behaviour of muons in the given ferromagnetic materials in the absence of muon diffusion. It has been found that the μ+ meson method makes it possible to study the position of a hydrogen light isotope (muonium) in the metal crystal lattice, deformation and stressed state of the lattice, to measure the contact and dipole fields. The advantages of the μ+ meson method in the study of ferromagnetic properties are shown

[en] Muon diffusion in metals with fcc lattice is theoretically considered. Muon movement is considered in three-dimensional potential. Metal lattice distortion by muon connected with its movement in the lattice is taken into account. Wave functions in the potential considered are calculated using a computer

AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental possibilities of applying muons in ferromagnetic metals are considered. It is shown, that application of positive muons allows one to measure concentration of defects, perform their diagnostics without destroying the sample and to investigate the defect effect on the muon oscillation level shift. It is underlined that by its sensitivity to measuring defect concentration and to defect type diagnostics the MSR method exceeds all the known methods
