AbstractAbstract
[en] A method of quick chromatographic radiochemical analysis (QChRA) of water coolant and waste water at NPPs, used for solving the problem of radiochemical control at NPPs, is described. The QChRA is based on combination of stages of sequential sorption or extraction-chromatographic extraction of radionuclides from a tested sample and preparation of samples for measuring their radioactivity. A system of sorbents for analysis of the WWER type reactor first circuit coolant, providing the lower detection limit of gamma radionuclides at the 0.1-3 Bq/l level, is considered. 1 fig.; 2 tabs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Optimization problems and those of increasing the information content of NPP coolant chemical-technological monitoring are considered. The necessity to reconsider main conceptions being in the basis of such monitoring organization, is grounded. It is proved that automation of means for chemical monitoring on the basis of flow-type monitors provide maximum rapidity of analytical information effect on technological process. In this case the modification of NPP chemical technology opens the possibility of chemical monitoring volume reduction and minimization of a number of controlled parameters as well as it is the basis of the truth of the results and opens a real possibility for total automation of chemical monitoring

AbstractAbstract
[en] In order to automatize the methods of controlling the content of heavy alkaline metals in solutions and to obtain more information from these methods, a method is described of continuous two-dimensional isolation and separation of rubidium and cesium from solutions on a block inorganic ion-exchanger based on ammonium molybdophosphate bounded with polytetrafluoroethylene. Rubidium has been eluted with 1 M solution of NH4NO3 and cesium with 5 N solution of NH4NO3. The relationship between distribution coefficients of rubidium and cesium and the concentration of the eluting solution has been determined. The distribution coefficient of cesium determined for the solution imitating sea water is (1.3+-0.2)x103

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of products resulting from thermal radiolysis of ionites on water-chemical regime of NPP with RBMK is considered basing on investigations conducted in a boiling type experimental reactor. Data are presented on dynamics of changes in the specific electric conductivity and pH of the coolant following destruction of ion exchange groups and ionite matrix under the effect of reactor radiation. The authors draw a conclusion that radiation destruction of ionito fine disperse suspension or high-molecular soluble compounds in the reactor are, probably, one of the main reasons for variations in pH values of the coolant at NPP in non-correction water chemical regime

AbstractAbstract
[en] The unit protium-tritium separation coefficients αH/T for transfer through a hydrogen-permeable bipolar electrode in KOH solutions of various concentration at a temperature of 50 degree C have been determined. The values of αH/T obtained (11.8 ± 0.6 for 10 M KOH and 13.4 ± 1.9 for 2 M KOH at a current density of 0.1 A/cm2) are in good agreement with the conception of the multistep separation of the isotopes of hydrogen in a hydrogen-permeable bipolar electrode

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper proposes a countercurrent electromigrational separation method; its effectiveness has been tested experimentally in examples of the separation of alkali-metal ions and their isotopes in a separating column with a packing. It has been shown that the degree of separation of alkali-metal ions is exponentially dependent on the flow rate of the countercurrent and the separation coefficient. An almost complete separation of the elements has been achieved for the CsOH-NaOH and RbOH-CsOH systems. The degree of separation of the rubidium isotopes reached 1.1, and the degree of separation of the lithium isotopes reached 2.5
