AbstractAbstract
[en] The search for the Higgs boson, the missing pillar of the currently prevailing theory of weak and electromagnetic interactions, is a prime goal of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiment. We review the circumstances, based on which our expectation of the existence of the Higgs boson has grown, how it is expected to be seen at the LHC, and where we stand in the drop of the presently available data. Moreover, we touch upon the fact that the very existence of the Higgs boson as an elementary particle provides a strong hint on possible new laws of physics. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We present a complete calculation of the lowest-order gluino-induced corrections to the weak form factors. In an exact supersymmetric theory the two tensorial form factors cancel out. In a realistically broken supersymmetry these corrections turn out to be small and possibly inadequate to bring out the signature of supersymmetry

AbstractAbstract
[en] We discuss some consequences of tree-level H±W-+Z interactions in a model with triplet Higgs bosons whose vacuum expectation values can potentially contribute to the W and Z masses. It is shown that such interactions can make the model confront crucial tests in Z-factories and constrain its parameter space from the current data. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] If massive invisible particles are pair-produced in a three-body decay, then the energy distribution of the other (visible) product is sensitive to the mass of the invisible pair. We use this fact in the context of a Higgs boson decaying into (i) a Z-boson and two massive neutrinos of a fourth generation, and (ii) a Z and two lightest supersymmetric particles in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We discuss how the Z-energy spectrum in each case can reflect the values of the parameters of such models. (author). 18 refs, 3 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Charged Higgs contributions to Z0→banti s+anti b and b→sγ are examined in a no-scale N=1 supergravity model taking into account the constraints typical of the model. Even with these rather restrictive constraints, such contributions can very well dominate over the gluino-induced effects. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A well-known feature of supersymmetry is that there are flavour-changing strong interactions mediated by gluinos. We calculated the effective Zanti ds coupling due to this interaction taking into account the constraints on the relevant parameters from CP-violation data. The consequences on the branching ratio for KL → μanti μ and the CP-violating muon polarisation asymmetry are examined. The effects are found to be rather small and within experimentally acceptable limits. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that if charge 2/3 SU(2)-singlet quarks exist, a large amount of T0-bar T0 mixing (where T0 is a neutral meson containing the top quark) is anticipated. The resulting like-sign dilepton events can be so numerous as to be detected at the Superconducting Super Collider

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper it is shown that models containing both SU(2) singlet fermions and a singlet Higgs have interesting effects on the electric dipole moment of the electron. Unlike the neutron dipole moment, there is no QCD suppression in this case. It is thus possible to find useful constraints on models that include both these kinds of singlets

AbstractAbstract
[en] The one-loop decay N→νγ is studied for a heavy neutrino N whose mass cannot be neglected during the loop calculation. The event rates for the resulting signal at the SSC are found to be experimentally accessible if mN< MW, so that N has only three-body decays at the tree level. The usefulness of such decays in identifying a heavy neutrino is also discussed

[en] Exotic charge -1/3 colour triplet (h) quarks are contained in E6 models. We examine the effects of CP violation resulting from h-b mixing and find that the lower bound on mt is removed, element of'/element of is reduced and B0-anti B0 mixing remains unchanged. (orig.)
