AbstractAbstract
[en] A study was made on regularities of formation of gaseouss and liquid fuels under thermoradiation effect on oil-bituminous rock (OBR) and OBR+H2O systems. It is shown that irradiation dose and temperature effect sufficiently the rate of formation and composition of gaseous products of thermoradiation decomposition of liquid fractures

AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of study on thermoradiation decomposition and gasification of masout and pit coal under static conditions at absorbed γ-radiation dose of 0-50 kGy, temperature of 20-500 deg C and water vapor pressure of 0.01-0.5 MPa are presented. It is shown that temperature elevation from 20 to 500 deg C results in the increase of radiation-chemical yields in thermoradiation decomposition of masout as follows: from G0(H2)=0.5, G0(CO) =0.009, G0(CH4)=0.034 molec./100 eV to G(H2)=28.3, G(CO)=7.5, G(CH4)=286.5. In case of pit coal radiolysis at the process temperature elevation from 20 to 500 deg C radiation-chemical gas yields increase from G0(H2)=0.023, G0(CO)=0.012, G0(CH4)=0.0034 molec./100 eV to G(H2)=37.4, G(CO)=61.5, G(CH4)=65.3 molec./100 eV. The increase of gas yields from masout and pit coal in the presence of water vapor indicates that in this case during H2, CO, CH4 formation the role of intermediate products of water radiolysis becomes important. It results from the temperature dependence of radiation-chemical gas yields that at temperatures ≥400 deg C gases are formed according to the chain mechanism

AbstractAbstract
[en] Regularities of H2, CO, C1-C3 hydrocarbon production and change of double bond number under radiation-thermal transformation of a heavy petroleum fraction (Tboil.≥285 deg C) and liquid products sepaated from petrobituminous rock by its heating up to 500 deg C are investigated. Irradiation was conducted using accelerated electrons and gamma-rays within 200-500 deg C temperature interval with the dose rate (DR) making up 11.2-1700 kGy/h and absorbed dose (D) of up to 850 kGy. It is shown that at DR=1700 kGy/h, D=140 kGy and 500 deg C the petroleum fraction conversion degree to gases achieves ∼31 %. Increment of iodine number, depending on the temperature and D, from -50 to +10 is linked with destruction and polycondensation processes. The ratio of radiation-thermal and thermal gas production process rate depends on the temperature and DR. This ratio is changed from 1.1 to 53.8 under the temperature change within 400-500 deg C interval and 11.2-1700 kGy/h DR change

AbstractAbstract
[en] In 20 males with Stage 2 hypertensive disease, effects of 2-week-, 2-, and 6-month monotherapy with nadolol given in doses 40 to 160 mg daily were examined on the levels of thyroidal hormones (T3 and T4) and thyroid-stimulating hormone by means of radioimmunoassay. At the all stages of the therapy, the mean values of the examined parameters were significantly unchanged. Nadolol was found to cause a decrease in T3 concentrations at its high baseline values (r=-0.57; p<0.05) and in doses greater than 40 mg daily. With reduced T3 levels in most cases. An inverse relationship was established between the altered serum T3 levels and the thyroid-stimulating hormone concentration

AbstractAbstract
[en] Studies have been made of the formation of H2 and CO at temperatures between 20 and 5000C reacting graphite, activated charcoal and semicoke with steam and carbon dioxide, respectively, in the presence of γ-radiation. The highest rates of H2 and CO formation were observed on the gasification of semicoke. At 5000C, gas formation rates are W(H2) ≅ W(CO) = 2.0 x 1013 molec/cm3 s for semicoke in steam and W(CO) = 1.37 x 1013 molec/cm3 s for semicoke in carbon dioxide. Investigation has been made of the temperature of semicoke production from lignite and also of the effect of preirradiation dose on the rate of CO formation in the semicoke/CO2 system. An increase in the semicoke production temperature from 500 to 7000C reduced its reactivity with carbon dioxide by a factor of 1.4. Preirradiation of the semicoke with 200 kJ/kg decreases the reactivity by a factor of 2.8. A discussion is given of the mechanism of the effect of γ-radiation on the gasification processes of different carbons in steam and carbon dioxide. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Petroleum fractions are widely used as components in preparation of building materials, in particular paints, lacquers, finishes, coatings. One of the most important quality characteristics of building materials is their radiation resistance. In connection with this the conversion processes in oil fractions under the radiation exposure is of particular interest. As a source of ionizing radiation it is used isotopic source of gamma radiation with Co

AbstractAbstract
[en] Regularities in hydrogen formation have been studied at thermoradiative conversion of peat, hard coal, anthracite and petroleum-bituminous rock within 20-5000C and absorbed dose of gamma-radiation D = 0-450 kGy. The hydrogen yield depends on elemental and functional composition of the initial substance, process temperature and water additives. The decrease in hydrogen yield is observed over the studied temperature range at transition of peat into anthracite. The activation energy and process efficiency for the thermoradiative conversion of hydrogen from caustobioliths have been determined. The process mechanism has been suggested and the contribution of thermal and radiative components into the hydrogen formation has been evaluated. (author)
