AbstractAbstract
[en] A new conditioning vaccum chamber system is presented. It consists in hydrogen plasm generation by microwaves with low electronic temperature (Te approx. 5eV) and low ionization degree. The ions and neutral atoms generated in the reaction: e + H2 -> H+ H+ e, bomb the chamber walls combinig themselves to impurities of surface and generating several compounds: H2O, CO, CH4, CO2 etc. The vacuum system operates continuosly and remove these compounds. A microwave system using magnetron valve (f=2,45 GHz, P=800W) was constructed for TBR (Brazilian tokamak). The gas partial pressures were monitored before, during and after conditioning showing the efficiency of the process. (M.C.K.)

Um novo sistema de condicionamento da camara de vacuo que trabalha com hidrogenio ou denterio e apresentado. Consiste na geracao de um plasma de hidrogenio por microondas com temperatura eletronica baixa (Te aprox. 5eV) e pequeno grau de ionizacao. Os ions e os atomos neutros gerados na reacao e + H2 -> H + H+e, bombardeiam as paredes da camara, combinado-se com os atomos de impurezas presentes na superficie e gerando diversos compostos: H2O, CO, CH4, CO2, etc. O sistema de vacuo, que funciona continuamente, retira esses compostos. Desta maneira pode-se diminuir a degaseificacao das impurezas. No TBR (Tokamak Brasileiro) foi contruido um sistema de microondas usando-se uma valvula tipo magnetron (f= 2,45 CHz, P=800W). As pressoes parciais dos gases, antes, durante e depois do condicionamento, foram monitoradas mostrando a eficiencia do processo. (Autor)Original Title

[en] The electrofission angular distribution of 232Th, in the energy interval 5.5-7 MeV, was measured. The analysis of substantial amount of E2 fission strength is concentrated near the fission barrier, corresponding to (8 +- 2)% of one energy weighted sum rule unity. (Author)

[en] Using conservative predictions, in order to satisfy the electricity demand up to 2020 it will be necessary to use about 80% of the existing hydroeletric potential. The paper discusses whether this is the maximum limit taking into account ecological and economical problems. An estimate is made of the possible contribution of thermal power plants using natural gas, coal, oil and biomass. The role of nuclear energy is discussed in this scenario. (author)

Usando-se predicoes conservativas, conclui-se que, para satisfazer a demanda de eletricidade depois de 2020 sera necessario usar cerca de 80% do potencial hidroeletrico existente. Discute-se este e o limite maximo, levando-se em conta os problemas ecologicos e economicos. Uma estimativa e feita da possivel contribuicao das usinas de potencia termica usando-se gas natural, carvao, petroleo e biomassa. O papel da energia nuclear e discutido neste cenario.
