[en] The aim of the present report is to show how the parameters currently used in dosimetry can be expressed at an elementary interaction level. In the first part, one tries to recapitulate and discuss the main expressions and parameters of 'dosimetry' in its most general meaning (from conventional dosimetry down to microdosimetry). For all the involved branches, the action of a radiation on a medium is typically based on an energy release. In the second part, one starts at an elementary interaction level, right from the beginning. These elementary interactions are the ones occurring with the actual radiation in the medium and the constituent elements of this latter (atoms, ions, radicals,...). Thus the action of a radiation is converted into a series of elementary events: ionizations, excitations, electronic recombinations, and so on. Each of these events is defined as the product of a cross section by a flux. It is then shown that in any case the reference parameters needed to account for the evolution of a System exposed to radiation are the particle spectra and the interaction cross-sections. (authors)

Le but du present rapport est de montrer comment peuvent s'exprimer au niveau des interactions elementaires les differents parametres habituellement utilises en dosimetrie. Dans la premiere partie, on essaye de recapituler de facon coherente et critique les expressions et parametres principaux de la dosimetrie dans son sens le plus large (allant de la dosimetrie classique a la microdosimetrie). Pour ces disciplines, l'action d'un rayonnement sur un milieu est caracterise par une cession d'energie. Dans la deuxieme partie, on se place d'emblee au niveau des interactions elementaires entre le rayonnement present dans le milieu et les elements constituant celui-ci (atomes, ions, radicaux, etc...). On ramene ainsi l'action d'un rayonnement a une suite d'evenements elementaires (ionisations, excitations, recombinaisons electroniques, etc...), chacun d'eux etant defini par le produit d'une section efficace et d'un flux. On montre alors, que les parametres de reference necessaires pour rendre compte, dans tous les cas, de l'evolution d'un systeme soumis au rayonnement, sont les spectres de particules et les sections efficaces d'interaction.
