AbstractAbstract
[en] A process of alkaline etching of latent tracks of high-energy heavy ions in polyethelene naphthalate is studied. Surface-active agents have been added to the alkaline etching solution. The presence of surfactants thus provides the formation of non-cylindrical spindle-shaped pores in the track etched membrane. A method for the quantitative assessment of the spindle-shaped morphology of pores has been developed. The influence of the alkali concentration, temperature of the etching solution, and the surfactants' concentration on the membrane pore structure and its transport properties has been investigated. The synthesis conditions which allow one to produce track membranes (as compared to TM with cylindrical pores) with the best transport properties have been found

AbstractAbstract
[en] The paper considers new possibilities of application of elastic braces made of molybdenum-rhenium alloy MR47-VP to improve accuracy, sensibility and stability of dynamometric and mass-measuring devices. The basic functional and constructional features of employment of suspenders and braces are shown; formulas for calculation of permissible deformations and for determination of elastic constants of braces are provided

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of UV radiation of a wide spectral range (λ = 100 – 400 nm) on films of polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) was investigated. Changes in the optical absorption spectra of PEN films after exposure to accelerated ions and UV radiation were studied. Changes of the surface properties of PEN were studied and the depth of damaged polymer layer was measured after high fluence UV-irradiation. The depth of damage was found to range between 0.1 and 0.9 µm, depending on the length of treatment. The rate of photoablation and the quantum yield of the removal of one monomer unit (∼0.7 ⋅ 10"–"4 molecules/photon) of PEN films under the influence of UV radiation were evaluated. The feasibility of production of asymmetric pores in PEN films via controlled photo-oxidative degradation was demonstrated.

Original Title

AbstractAbstract
[en] Uranium-zirconium-thorium-rare earth-phosphor mineralization was formed within intersection nodes of different-oriented folded systems within zones of intrafolded disruptive faults after introduction of granitoid intrusions and limbs, saddle-shaped bodies in hinges, tubeshaped and complex in form in blocking folds represent typical ones. Unlike phosphorus-uranium ones properly uranium and uranium-molybdenum deposits in the same regions are regulated by connection nodes of after-folded disjunctive faults, have different ore composition, different ore body morphology and thick zones of before-ore alterations by albilization type or hydronicaceous alterations when there is no connection with granitoid magmatism

AbstractAbstract
[en] The difference between track membrane pore diameter values, obtained with methods of 'bubble point' (DBP), hydrodynamics (DHD) and scanning electron microscopy (DSEM), was investigated. It was found that DSEM>DHD>DBP and this relation is significant for small pore. This phenomenon is explained on the basis of ''double-cone'' pore shape. The equation was derived, which presented a relation between these values. The results of calculation were compared with experimental results. The dependence of track membranes tested selectivity on particle size-to-pore size relation was obtained in experiment on latex particles filtration. It was shown, that this dependence is effected by the pore diameter calculation method

AbstractAbstract
[en] The method for obtaining the track membranes hydrophilic surface through the ion deposition of the silicon oxide thin films is proposed. The ion cleaning of the PETF samples surface was performed in the smouldering discharge plasma during 10-15 minutes and the silicon oxide film deposition was accomplished by the residual pressure of approximately 10-5 mm Hg. The boundary angle of water wetting for such surfaces assumes the value of 20-25 deg and it doesn't change in the course of the long time

Original Title

AbstractAbstract
[en] Epithermal neutron activation analysis along with ICP-OES, LA ICP-MS, and XRF were used to determine the elemental composition of coal fly ash from the Malta coal power station in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. A total of 54 major, trace and rare-earth elements were obtained by the four analytical techniques. The results were compared and the discrepancies discussed to show the merits and drawbacks of each of the techniques. It was shown that the elemental content of this particular coal fly ash is of the same order as the NIST standard reference material Coal Fly Ash 1633b
