AbstractAbstract
[en] The review concerns the results of studies reported in the last decade and concerning oxide ferromagnetic semiconductors which retain the spin orientation of charge carriers above room temperature. Particular attention is paid to methods of preparation of diluted magnetic semiconductors. Methods of synthesis and peculiarities of the physicochemical properties of films and coatings based on ferromagnetic semiconductors are described and prospects for application of these compounds as materials for spintronics are discussed. The bibliography includes 160 references.

Abstract—
X-ray diffraction data have been used to construct the composition polyhedron of the (Y,Bi)3(Fe,Ga)5O12 garnet phase (18 vertices and 11 faces) in the isobaric–isothermal Y2O3–Bi2O3–Fe2O3–Ga2O3 composition tetrahedron. We have identified nine crystalline phases involved in multiphase equilibria with the garnet phase, paying particular attention to equilibria involving the garnet and perovskite phases.Primary Subject

AbstractAbstract
[en] Garnet ferrites with the overall composition (Y1–xBix)3(Fe1–yGay)5O12 (0 ≤ х ≤1, 0 ≤ y ≤1) have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction. A relationship has been demonstrated between an increase in the concentration of Ga3+ cations and an increase in Bi2O3 solubility in ss-Y3(Fe,Ga)5O12.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Compositions Li(Ni0.33Mn0.33Co0.33)1 – xFexO2 (0 ≤ х ≤ 1) of the LiNiO2–LiMnO2–LiCoO2–LiFeO2 concentration tetrahedron have been studied. Samples were synthesized by gel combustion with starch, which afforded, for the first time, the impurity-free stable solid solution LiNi0.2Mn0.2Co0.2Fe0.4O2 with an α-NaFeO2 layered structure used as a cathode matrix of lithium-ion batteries. Electrochemical testing of homogeneous LiNi0.2Mn0.2Co0.2Fe0.4O2 and the LiNi0.3Mn0.3Co0.3Fe0.1O2 sample with the lowest iron content has been carried out. The results expand the understanding of the possibility of saturation with iron of Li(Ni,Mn,Co)O2 with an α-NaFeO2 structure and indicate the feasibility of further studying the homogeneity volume and properties of the Li(Ni,Mn,Co,Fe)O2 solid solution.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The behavior of the polarization of negative muons in Zn0.99Co0.01O was studied in order to search for a possible magnetic ordered phase. The sample was obtained using solid phase synthesis from ZnO and Co3O4. Measurements were performed in a magnetic field of 1.5 kG transverse to the muon spin in a temperature range of 5–300 K and in the absence of an external magnetic field at 6 K. No evidence of long-range magnetic order were observed.
