AbstractAbstract
[en] A system has been devised for an objective testing and examination of nuclear power plant personnel during the basic and repetitive training on a WWER-440/V-213 reactor simulator. This personnel includes shift engineers, reactor unit managers, and operators of the primary and secondary parts of nuclear power plants. The following are subject to testing: knowledge, intellectual and psychomotoric skill, habits, and attitudes. The objective testing and examination system proposed comprises four levels. The first level is based on permanent information acquisition and serves the daily needs of the training. The second level provides information on how each of the training stages has been mastered. The third level is concerned with the practical fulfilment of training tasks based on simple operations at the operator's working spot, and the fourth level examines all the worker's activity and personality features over the entire span of standard as well as nonstandard regimens of the nuclear power plant unit. AbstractAbstract
[en] Part of the currently built Branch Training Centre of the Research Institute for Nuclear Power Plants in Trnava is also a full-range simulator for Czechoslovak nuclear power plants with WWER 440 reactors. The demands and criteria relating to the simulator are presented, including its instructor area, training materials, the development of training algorithms and procedures, especially training programmes for accident and failure situations. AbstractAbstract
[en] The article gives an overview of how the needs of the Slovak power sector and nuclear industry with respect to personnel skills and training are addressed and satisfied. The needs are driven by the recent significant legislative changes, continuing modernization of the Bohunice V-2 units, preparation of the Bohunice V-1 units for shutdown, and completion of the Mochovce 3 and 4 units, in connection with the licence holder's recruitment and training of qualified and competent staff. The forms, methods and means used within the theoretical and practical training, including the use of a reactor simulator, are highlighted. (author)
