[en] The dynamics of changes of the taurine and tryptophane concentration in blood serum of rats has been studied during 30 days after 3b degree burn of 15% of body surface after total even exposure to radiation in doses of 3 and 6 Gy, and after combined radiation thermal injury. Combined radiation-thermal injury was found to be characterized by reduced concentration of taurine but an increase of the tryptophane level from the second-third day after the injury

[en] Comparative studies on the healing of Nd laser burns and thermic injuries of the skin, resp., were performed in X-irradiated and in non-irradiated rats with 2-3% burned body surface. The burns were evaluated pathomorphologically some minutes and on days 7-9, 15, 25, and 30-40 after burning. The healing process of the laser burns did not differ much in X-irradiated rats (LD52/40) from untreated animals, although the stage of necrotic tissue rejection was prolonged in irradiated rats and there was a distinct participation of lymphohistiocytic elements without marked leukocytic reaction. Laser-treated rats revealed increased radioresistance with survival rates of 86% on day 40 and by 38% significantly higher than in rats with acute radiation sickness

[en] Using the method of electrophoresis in agar gel of superhelical plasmid DNA, which served as a substrate for determining endonuclease activity, the authors showed that the same radiation dose influenced in a different way the activity of acid and alkaline DNAases in rat blood serum.
