AbstractAbstract
[en] The unbound nucleus 18Na, the intermediate nucleus in the two-proton radioactivity of 19Mg, is studied through the resonant elastic scattering 17Ne(p,17Ne)p. The spectroscopic information obtained in this experiment is discussed and put in perspective with previous measurements and the structure of the mirror nucleus 18N.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The doubly magic nucleus 48Ni has been observed for the first time at GANIL. The experiment was performed using a high intensity 58Ni beam at 74.5 MeV/A on a nickel target. This TZ = -4 nucleus is the most proton-rich nucleus ever observed, and is a good candidate for two-proton radioactivity. In this experiment, we also implanted around 280 42Cr, 50 45Fe and 100 49Ni isotopes, for which no experimental information about the decay is available

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper describes the participation of the IPEN in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Coordinated Research Projects(CRP) on Analytical and Experimental Benchmark Analysis on ADS and Low Enriched Uranium Fuel Utilization in ADS. The first CRP has as specific objective to improve the present understanding of the coupling of an external neutron source [e.g. a spallation source in the case of the accelerator driven system (ADS)] with a multiplicative sub-critical core, and the second CRP, or collaborative work, the utilization of LEU in existing or planned ADS facilities. IPEN participate in both CRP through a research contract (13388), and although there are several benchmarks defined in both CRP, presently IPEN is participating in the activities related with reactor physics benchmark of the Yalina Booster facility in Belarus, in the analytical and numerical benchmarking of methods and codes for ADS kinetics, and in the ADS target calculations. Besides, since there are plans to introduce a compact neutron generator in a sub critical core of the IPEN-MB-01 facility, a benchmark of a simulation of such project has been proposed in the LEU-ADS CRP. The paper will review the CRPs with details on the activities in which IPEN is participating. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The design and construction of an array for delayed-neutron decay spectroscopy is presented. The array is composed of 32 plastic scintillator (BC400) modules each of which provide for time-of-flight (energy) and position measurements. The intrinsic detection efficiency is 30% at En=2 MeV and the resolution δEn/En∼10% (FWHM). The array can cover a total solid angle of up to 50% of 4π. Details of studies performed to optimize the performances of the individual modules are reported, as well as source testing and in-beam commissioning

AbstractAbstract
[en] The aim of this workshop was to discuss the status of experiments at GANIL facility using Exogam with Vamos, Tiara and other ancillary detectors. This document gathers most of the slides that were presented at the workshop, it concerns 8 presentations: 1) the status of Spiral and Spiral-II, 2) the status of Tiara (Tiara array is used for the study of nuclear transfer reactions with radioactive beams in inverse kinematics), 3) data acquisition for the ancillary detectors, 4) the identification of gamma-ray in nuclei around Sm130: probing the maximally deformed light rare earth region, 5) the Coulomb excitation of radioactive krypton beams (Kr76, Kr74), 6) the influence of weakly bound neutrons on fusion around the Coulomb barrier, 7) single particle transfer on doubly-magic Ni56, and 8) the study of N=16 for neutron rich nuclei with Ne26(d,p)Ne27 transfer reaction

[en] The study [Nucl. Phys. A 722 (2003) 424c] of the neutron rich nuclei near the N=28 magic number was performed at GANIL-France. This letter reports on preliminary results concerning isotopes 44,45,46Ar. Schemes of excited levels were deduced from the γ- γcoincidences. Levels above Sn energy were suggested from the γ- n coincidences for 46Ar
