AbstractAbstract
[en] The beam optical system of a Polarized Electron Source (PES) is described. The PES is used for nuclear physics experiments with internal gas targets on the MEA-AmPS acceleration facility at NIKHEF. The PES beam optical system consists of a 100 keV photoelectron gun, a 100 keV beam line, and a 400 keV post-accelerator. Both the electrostatic and the beam trajectory calculations in the gun have been performed with the SAM code. To calculate the beam envelope in the PES beam line the MAD code was used. The input for MAD was obtained from beam trajectory calculations in the gun, extrapolated for a beam with non-zero initial emittance. Results of the beam line performance test are given

AbstractAbstract
[en] The design of the 240 MeV two-stage CW RaceTrack Microtron of the Institute of Accelerating Systems and Applications (IASA) is presented. The present status on the performance of the already installed 100 keV line, the diagnostic line for measuring the transverse beam emittance and the on-going installation of the complete injector is discussed. Plans for a simple and very cost effective upgrade to a 650 MeV two-stage cascaded RTM machine are also presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] Inclusive cross sections of intermediate mass fragments (6≤Z≤16) have been measured in 20Ne induced reactions on silver and gold targets at 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 MeV/u incident energies. Whereas the production yields remain approximately constant for the Ne+Ag system, they increase by a factor of two for the Ne+Au system over the same bombarding energy range. These results are discussed in the framework of two fragmentation models. (orig.)
