AbstractAbstract
[en] Interaction of pyridine, benzonitril, acetonitril, and acetone with electron-acceptor centres of amorphous and crystal silicates, germanates, phosphates, antimonates, and molybdates has been investigated by infrared spectra. Relative acceptor strength of the centres on the catalyst surface has been investigated. A comparison has been made with the data on electronic spectra of the adsorbed benzalacetophenone and diphenylcarbinol. It has been shown that electron-acceptor properties of the surface of the adsorbents in interaction with the above-cited bases is mainly determined by the nature of metal cation

AbstractAbstract
[en] Applying infrared spectroscopy a study was made on interaction of ZrO2, Ga2O3, BeO, NaJ, Co with aprotic acid centers of oxide catalysts. Adsorption isotherms and isobars were studied in -110-25 deg temperature range and at 0.001-10 Ho. mm pressures. Heats of Co interaction with aprotic centers were determined. It was shown, that in the case of high-charge metal cabions ßsub(CO) frequency depends linearly on heat of CO and this cation interaction. Heats and entropies of CO complex adsorption on catalyst surface were determined

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using the method of IR spectroscopy, acid properties of 12-Mo molybdophosphoric heteropolyacid applied to SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3 supporters and its sodium and copper salts applied to SiO2, are investigated. The presence of Broensted and Lewis acid centres in all the catalysts studied is ascertained. It is shown, that the concentration and, in certain cases, the strength of Broensted acid centres can be altered by varying the degree of metal cation substitution in heteropolyacid for protons, the content of heteropoly compounds on the supporter, degree of their dehydration and type of the supporter used

AbstractAbstract
[en] Acidity of nineteen heteropolyacids (HPA) of nine structural types (two of them were unknown previously) and one isopolyacid was studied by the method of proton affinity determination using IR spectroscopy of pyridinium salts. HPA studied along with Mo, W, P atoms characteristic of this class contained As, B, Bi, Ce, Sn, Ti, V or Zr. It was ascertained that all the HPA studied feature high acidity, i.e. at the level of CF3SO3H and HClO4, while tungstophosphoric acid H3PW12O40 proved the strongest one

AbstractAbstract
[en] Quantum chemical calculations, an IR spectroscopic experiment, and calculations of the frequencies of the normal vibrations show that in the adsorption of an ammonia molecule on HNaY zeolite, an ammonium ion is formed, possessing two strong hydrogen bonds to the surface. It is concluded that both acid and basic sites of the surface participate in the formation of the ammonium ion: interaction with the basic site plays a role in the energetics of this process analogous to the effect of solvation in the liquid phase. On this basis an interpretation is given of the calorimetric data on the adsorption of a number of amides on HNaY zeolite

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using the methods of IR-spectroscopy and chemical analysis, interaction of zirconium tetrahydroborate with silica gel and aluminium oxide, composition of the surface complexes formed and their transformations in the process of thermal activation of the catalysts are studied. It is established that decomposition of the surface complexes of the type (Eh-O)sub(n) - Zr(BHsub(4))sub(4-n) (Eh=Si; Al; n=1-2) occurs when catalysts heating with the formation of surface zirconium hydrides, which are alkylated by ethylene under polymerization conditions

AbstractAbstract
[en] Adsorption of H3PW12O40 from water and organic oxygen-containing solvents (AcOH, Me2CO, MeOH) on porous carbon materials, i.e. sibunite and catalytic fibrous carbon (CFC), was studied using the methods of elementary analysis, IR spectroscopy and electron microscopy. It was ascertained that the amount of irretrievably sorbed heteropolyacid makes up 50-100 mg per 1 g of carrier, decreasing in the series of solvents: H2O>Me2CO>AcOH>MeOH. CFC adsorptivity depends on the value of specific surface, total volume of pores and CFC fibre microstructure

Original Title
