AbstractAbstract
[en] The concepts of threshold and nonthreshold irradiation are discussed. Instead of the concept ''ideal threshold'' in normalization suggested is the term ''conditional threshold'' being determined by a conditional threshold dose, on exposure to which the product of probability of test-effect manifestation by the number of the given group of objects equals one. The suggested definition of the threshold makes it possible to substantiate a spontaneously formed tendency for differentiating the standards depending on the number of groups under consideration; it has been long existent in the field of the radiation factor. The concept ''conditional threshold'' is in conformity with the approach to standardization on the basis of nonadmission of risk realization

AbstractAbstract
[en] The properties of quadrodetectors with an area of the sensitive surface from 8 to 24 mm2 and the area of the element 2 and 6 mm2 respectively were studied. The detectors were irradiated in the fields of X-ray units in the operating conditions providing a range of effective energies of 25-126 keV and rates up to 100 R/min. Dependence of the response of such semiconductor detectors (SCD), their elements in pair with a microcircuit on the dose rate and the quality of X-radiation was studied. The homogeneity of the elements of the mentioned SCD for the given type of radiation was shown. The studies made showed that multielement SCD are more purposeful as compared to detectors of other types, e.g. conventional detectors or so called combined detectors (scintillator+SCD), and open up new vistas for measuring X-radiation for biomedical purposes

AbstractAbstract
[en] The methods of objective quantitative evaluation of the correctness of choice of X-raying conditions for X-radiography is described. The methods include X-raying of a wedge of the same material as the control object with the thickness equal or exceeding that of the controlled product. By the radiograph obtained a histogram of density distribution of image elements is plotted. The histogram characterizes the probability for the given image element to have a corresponding value of opacity. Experimental checking has been performed using an aluminium wedge

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of scattered radiation on the radiation contrast value for choosing optimum mainly in radiation energy conditions of X-ray radiography of products of light materials close to water in atomic number is estimated. The curves for water taking into account the accumulation factor, radiation attenuation, radiation energy and material thickness permitting to estimate the radiation contrast for any scanning mode of objects (during radiography of technological product homogeneity and in medicine diagnosis) with the atomic number close to water E=15-300 keV and thickness up to 40 μb are given
