AbstractAbstract
[en] A method was elaborated for accurate calibration of nuclear reaction spectra, taken by multi-angle magnetic spectrograph. It is based on the least-squares analysis of spectral lines corresponding to the nuclei contained in the target. Explicit formulae for estimation of variances of masses, Q values and excitation energy are given. The effectivity of the present calibration procedure is demonstrated on 35Cl(d, p)36Cl experimental data. The results obtained are compared with the corresponding data from the (n, ß) reaction. Good agreement between both data sets is found. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The reactions 34S(d, p)35S and 36S(d, p)37S were studied at the incident deuteron energy of 12.3 MeV. Proton groups were analysed using a multi-angle magnetic spectrograph with the resolving power E/ΔEapprox.=1400. Precise Q-values corresponding to 13 states of 35S up to the excitation energy of 7483 keV and 22 states of 37S up to the excitation energy of 6406 keV are presented. The ground-state transition Q-value for the reaction 36S(d, p)37S was found to be 2079.12+-0.13 keV. Angular distributions of proton groups corresponding to 6 states in 35S and to 11 states in 37S were analysed using DWBA calculations. Transferred orbital angular momenta and spectroscopic factors were deduced. Summed spectroscopic strengths show that substantial parts of single-particle strength for 1fsub(7/2), 2psub(3/2) and 2psub(1/2) in both reactions are exhausted by the observed transitions. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The reaction 35Cl(d,p)36Cl was studied at deuteron energy 12.3 MeV using a multi-angle magnetic spectrograph with resolving power E/ΔE ≅ 2000. Precise excitation energies of 77 states in 36Cl up to 7 MeV are presented. The level energies of some states were measured with a precision of 70-80 eV; several new states were found. Angular distributions of proton groups corresponding of 51 states in 36Cl were analysed using DWBA calculations. Transferred orbital angular momenta and absolute values of spectroscopic factors were deduced. Spectroscopic factors for 36 states are given for the first time. The substantial parts of single-particle strengths for 1f and 2p orbits are exhausted by the observed l=3 and l=1 transitions. Spectroscopic strengths for the positive-parity states show that 2s and 1d orbits in the ground state of 35Cl are much more empty than should follow from simple-shell-model or from calculations made in the full space of sd-shell-model wave functions by Wildenthal et al. AbstractAbstract
[en] The accurate and precise (d, p) reaction Q-values and excitation energies corresponding to 98 states of final nuclei 13,14C, 15N, 17O, 29-31Si, 33S, 38Cl and 111,113,115,117Cd are presented as a result of high resolution experiments performed with 12.3 MeV deuterons. The protons were analysed by multi-angle magnetic spectrograph. The resolving power E/ΔE of about 2000 and accurate calibration of spectra allowed to get the energies of most states with higher precision than is presently known. Angular distributions of protons from the reaction 37Cl(d, p)38Cl were analysed using DWBA calculations. Revised values of transferred orbital angular momenta and spectroscopic factors for 25 states of 38Cl are given. Single-particle strengths for 1f and 2p orbitals are compared with respective single-particle strengths from the reaction 36S(d,p)37S. Sum rules indicate that substantial parts of 1f and 2p single-particle strengths are exhausted by states observed in present experiment. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A multi-angle magnetic spectrograph for recording the spectra of charged particles emitted in nuclear reactions was built. The apparatus and the beam transport system are described and their parameters are discussed. The total resolving power p/Δp was reached of 3000 to 4000; with the targets 50 to 100 μg/cm2 thick. AbstractAbstract
[en] Angular distribution of emitted protons was measured at a deuteron energy of 12.3 MeV. The energy levels of the 31Si nucleus were determined with high accuracy up to an excitation energy of 9 MeV. Thirty-four bound states and 47 unbound states were observed. The contribution of the direct process to the reaction is dominant. Therefore, DWBA (Distorted Wave Born Approximation) analysis was carried out for 14 bound states and 8 unbound states and the spectroscopic factors were calculated for them. Discrepancies in spectroscopic data obtained by different authors are discussed. For instance, for the 5.28 MeV state, the DWBA calculation gives a better fit for the transferred orbital momentum l = 1 than for l = 0. Improvement of the fit by choosing a different l value was also obtained for the levels of 5.95, 6.58, and 7.43 MeV

AbstractAbstract
[en] The reaction 30Si(d,p)31Si is studied at the incident deuteron energy of 12.3 MeV. Proton groups are analysed using a multi-angle magnetic spectrograph with the resolving power E/ΔE∼1000. Angular distributions of proton groups corresponding to 14 bound states and to 8 unbound states of the 31Si nucleus are analysed using DWBA calculations. Deduced transferred orbital angular momenta and spectroscopic factors differ for some states from those obtained previously. In particular, we attribute l=1 transfer to the state at 5.281 MeV. Shell-model calculations are performed in a complete 0ℎω model space for positive-parity states and in a restricted 1ℎω model space including f7/2, p3/2 and p1/2 neutron orbits for negative-parity states. The excitation energies as well as spectroscopic strengths of most of strongly excited positive- and negative-parity states are reasonably well interpreted within the shell model
