AbstractAbstract
[en] The low-energy spectra and electromagnetic transitions for a series of heavy deformed nuclei are analyzed in the framework of the pseudo-SU(3) model. A realistic Hamiltonian with proton and neutron single particle energies, monopole pairing interaction, in addition to the quadrupole-quadrupole term, is used. The strengths of the interactions are fixed with values from systematics. The effect of the single-particle energies on the overall spectra and electromagnetic transition is analyzed. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A simple method is established for the double layer (D.L.) generation in a single chamber of a double plasma (D.P.) machine at low neutral pressure and plasma density. For some experimental conditions the D.L. formation might be associated with onset of some low frequency oscillations. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A Python code was developed to search the Nuclear Data Base for experimental known nuclear levels with the purpose of looking at the nuclear level densities. The code downloads the evaluated nuclear levels of the nucleus/ nuclei of interest from the data base, and produces a graph for each nucleus. In the graph, there are given the number of states per MeV, parity ratio, and spin cutoff per each energy bin of 0.5 MeV. The purpose of the code is to be used as a preliminary selection of nuclei in a certain region of interest for calculating nuclear level densities. A comparison with the calculated values using a systematic parametrization developed by Ohio University group is also implemented. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This work reports a method used to control Al doping of ZnO thin films deposited by high-power impulse magnetron sputtering of a pure Zn target in low-pressure Ar/O2 gas mixture. The method uses sputtering of an electrically negative biased aluminum electrode placed in the proximity of the negative glow of the magnetron discharge. Resonant laser absorption measurements of Al atom concentration in vapor phase and the X-ray Photoelectron Emission Spectroscopy measurements of Al concentration in the deposited ZnO:Al films confirm that the electrode biasing potential is the key parameter that controls the Al doping process. Optically transparent ZnO:Al films with resistivity as low as 3.6 × 10−3 Ω × cm have been obtained at an optimum value of Al concentration of 1.5 at.%. It has been found that the film electrical conductivity is limited by the effect of decreasing of crystalline grain size in the films with the increased Al doping concentration. - Highlights: ► High quality ZnO:Al thin films by high-power impulse magnetron sputtering. ► Sputtering of an auxiliary Al electrode to control Al doping. ► Biasing potential of Al electrode controlled the Al content in ZnO:Al films. ► Optically transparent ZnO:Al films with minimum resistivity of 3.6´10-3 Ω´cm.

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new, efficient method for investigating and optimizing the ion-nitriding process in a glow-discharge plasma is proposed and worked out in detail for the mass kinetics of Rp-3 steel. This method, which is based on the concepts of experiment planning, mathematical modelling, and nonlinear optimization, is quite general and potentially applicable to a wide class of technological and other processes depending on several parameters

AbstractAbstract
[en] Reflection of ion-acoustic waves and solitary signals at a wall consisting of a grid and a plate is demonstrated in a DP-machine plasma. A velocity comparison is made between the signals supporting the identification of the nonlinear solitary pulses as solitons. The reflection coefficient for both kinds of signals is found to lie near 100%. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental results are presented on the dynamic behavior of self-organized reactive components in a single-ended Q-machine. In our case this component is the periodically forming double layer (DL) which is an essential part of the strong instability that appears when the cold plate (CP) of the Q-machine is positively biased with respect to the plasma source. This can either be the hot plate (HP) or a virtual plasma source, and the self-excited low-frequency oscillation is well known as potential relaxation instability (PRI). The DL possesses a certain capacity (C) which together with an inductance (L) in the outer circuit is able to form an LC oscillation circuit. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Full text: This study intends to configure an inventory of the different pathological conditions of the mesentery root using cross sectional modalities. We have made a retrospective evaluation of 42 patients; most of them had CT scans with iodinated contrast media and some of them had MRI examinations performed during 2000-2006. Our study identified a variety of pathological entities affecting the mesentery root within the study group: oedema, tumoral masses, lymphadenopathy, SMA and SMV thrombosis, etc. The imaging methods represent a valuable tool in order to establish an accurate diagnosis of this type of pathology
