[en] The flouride and chloride ions in uranium oxide powder should be determined since they influence the performance of fuel element during irradiation in the reactor. Determination of flouride and chloride ion content had been done by selective ion electrode Potentiometry method from uranium oxide after separation from U using method pyrohydrolitic. The experiment showed that the maximum efficiencies of the pyrohydrolitic separation of flouride and chloride ions is 93.78±5.51 % and 95.71±3.08 %, with minimum detection of 0.019 ppm and 1.775 ppm respectively. Uranium matrix as much as 250 ppm showed significant influence on the measurement. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The analysis of silicon content in the uranium silicide fuel spectro-photometrical and gravimetrical method have been performed. The nitrous oxide-acetylene was used in the atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) on the wave length of 251.6 nm, and the mixture of ammonium hepta molybdate complexes and SnC12 as reductor were applied during analysis by UV-VIS spectrophotometry (UV-VIS) on the wave length of 757.5 mm. The reagent of HCLO4 and HNO3 were used for determining Si content by gravimetrical methods. The results of this comparison is as follows: the accuracy result is around 96.37 % + 0.24 % for the Si concentration up to 300 ppm (the AAS), is 138.60 % = 0.43 % for the Si concentration range between 0.1-1.5 ppm (UV-VIS), and is 51.13 % + 0.8 % for 1 gram of Si (gravimetry). The results also show that the lowest analytical error is obtained by AAS method

[en] According to Decree of Head of BAPETEN No : 07/Ka-BAPETEN/V-99 which determines the duties to perform the quality assurance function for each nuclear installation, the Head of P2TBDU has decided to perform and maintain the quality assurance program controlling each activity which may influence the safety. The P2TBDU Quality Assurance Program has been arranged and put into force since 1993, however the implementation of the program has not been effective as expected. The change of organization structure shall cause the changes of organisation's function and main duty, therefore it requires that the change/revision be made to accommodate the new policy on the quality assurance program. The Quality Assurance Program revision 1 has been arranged and put into force since Nov. 19, 1999 which incorporated the change of the organizational structure. The effectiveness of implementation of the program shall extremely be determined y commitment of the P2TBDU management as well as awareness of each personal of the organization on the necessity of Quality Assurance Program for operational safety of the installation.
