AbstractAbstract
[en] We present results of self-consistent Hartree-Fock (HF) and continuum random-phase-approximation (RPA) calculations for proton emission following the electro-excitation of 58Ni in the energy range ω=25-42 MeV. The calculations are performed for four different values of the momentum transfer ranging between 0.4 and 0.8 fm-1. For the above kinematics, an extensive amount of data is available. We confront the data with the theoretical results obtained within the plane-wave impulse approximation (PWIA), HF and RPA. The role of the final-state interaction (FSI) is investigated. Furthermore, we investigate in how far the angular distributions may reflect the occurrence of giant resonances. A quasi-free knockout (QFK) reaction picture is found unable ot account for details of the data. Although the RPA offers a reasonable description of the overall q and ω behaviour of the angular distributions, it does not provide a good description of the proton-decay branch of the quadrupole and octupole resonance. AbstractAbstract
[en] Precise relative spectroscopic factors for 3s proton removal have been measured with the (d,3He) reactions on 206Pb and 208Pb at 52 MeV. We find (i) configuration mixing in 205Tl as an explanation for the reported ''quenching'' of the 3s single particle density in the charge difference between 206Pb and 205Tl and (ii) comparable 3s proton occupation numbers in 206Pb and 208Pb. AbstractAbstract
[en] The inelastic response of 58Ni to 183 MeV electrons from MAMI A at Mainz has been investigated up to excitation energies of 41 MeV for four momentum transfers between 0.4 and 0.8 fm-1, and of 28Si for two momentum transfers up to Ex=39 MeV. We have detected fast protons with energies up to 33 MeV using plastic scintillator telescopes. The angular correlations for the prominent kinematical bands show strong forward-backward asymmetry with shapes typical of the populated state in the residual nucleus. A comparison to RPA calculations is in progress. (orig.)
