AbstractAbstract
[en] A general parametrization of the polarization vector of protons produced in inelastic electron-deuteron scattering, d(e,e'p)n and d(e,e'p)n, is derived on the basis of the formalism of structure functions. A relativistic version of the impulse approximation with unitarization of the multipole amplitudes of the reaction γ*d→np is employed to estimate the components of proton polarization. The relativistic approach makes it possible to consider effects of final-state np interaction by using the phase shifts for nucleon-nucleon scattering. The sensitivity of various components of proton polarization to the choice of deuteron wave function and to the contribution of various γ*d→np mechanisms, including the excitation of possible dibaryon resonances, is investigated

AbstractAbstract
[en] Polarization phenomena for vector-meson production in neutron-proton collisions, n + p → d + V0, with V0 = ρ, ω, or φ, are studied for collinear kinematics when the vector mesons are produced at angles θ = 0 degree or 180 degree with respect to the momentum of the incoming beam. It is shown that the spin structure of the matrix elements can be parametrized in terms of five independent complex scalar amplitudes whose symmetry properties follow from the isotopic invariance of the strong interaction and from which specific polarization properties can be deduced. The polarization structure functions, calculated in terms of these five independent scalar amplitudes, allow to analyze one and two spin-polarization observables in a model-independent way. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that one cannot obtain a model independent information on the isovector part of the kaon electromagnetic form factors only from data on the e+ e- → Κ+Κ- and e+ e- → Κs0 ΚL0 reactions and, as a result, the conserved-vector-current hypothesis cannot be verified reliably by means of the τ- → ντ Κ- Κ0 and νe e- → Κ- Κ0 processes. The unitary and analytic model of the kaon electromagnetic structure is used to predict various measurable quantities of νe- e- → Κ-Κ0 and also to discriminate one of two existing and non coinciding central values of the branching ratio B(τ- → ντ Κ-Κ0). Experimental groups are challenged to utilize νe- e- → Κ-Κ0 and τ- → ντ Κ- Κ0 processes together with ε+ε-→Κ Κ reactions in order to obtain a complete information on the kaon electromagnetic structure.
