AbstractAbstract
[en] We consider an eight-dimensional local octonionic theory with the seven-sphere playing the role of the gauge group. Duality conditions for two- and four-forms in eight dimensions are related. Dual fields--octonionic instantons--solve an 8D generalization of the Yang-Mills equation. Modifying the ADHM construction of 4D instantons, we find general k-instanton 8D solutions which depends on 16k-7 effective parameters

AbstractAbstract
[en] Ondansetron and granisetron were tested as antiemetics in cynomolgus macaques weighing 4 kg and submitted to a neutron-gamma irradiation with a high neutronic component. Compounds were delivered by oral way, each administration dose being 4 mg of ondansetron or 1 mg of granisetron. The effect was complete when were delivered before and after the irradiation. It was incomplete when there was a single administration be fore or after the exposure. No adverse side-effects were noted. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] 119Sn Moessbauer spectra of RCo3Sn (R=Gd-Tm) compounds have been measured in the temperature range 4.2-150 K. The TC values obtained from the hyperfine field (Bhf) temperature dependence were found to vary linearly with the de Gennes factor, extrapolating to 30 K for J→0. Bhf (measured at 4.2 K) was found to depend on the R element in a way that could be explained in terms of rare-earth spin and orbital contributions to the electron polarization, plus a contribution from the Co moments. Additionally, our results provide evidence against a recent claim that RCo3Sn compounds actually belong to the R3Co8Sn4 structure

AbstractAbstract
[en] A radiochemical analysis of the valence state of uranium isotopes in minerals involves isolation of the U(IV) and U(VI) valence forms and determination of the radioactivity of the "2"3"4U and "2"3"8U isotopes in each fraction. If the nuclear decay of the uranium in the minerals is accompanied by a redox process, the distribution of the "2"3"4U isotope in the U(IV) and U(VI) forms will differ from that of the "2"3"8U isotope: oxidation leads to enrichment of the U(VI) fraction with the radiogenic "2"3"4U isotope; reduction facilitates enrichment of the U(IV) fraction with "2"3"4U. If the mineral is heated to 600–700 °C before the radiochemical analysis, then an equilibrium activity ratio (AR) for both valences. The question arises: What are the processes that bring this about? The authors of this research studied changes of the AR in the U(IV) and U(VI) fractions after isochronous thermal annealing. - Highlights: • Initial mineral has different isotopic composition of the uranium valence forms. • Non-identical thermochemical behavior of uranium isotopes was found. • The metamict structure affects the different behavior of uranium isotopes.
