AbstractAbstract
[en] Results of simulation of acoustic and electromagnetic radiations (AER) from a neutrino beam (NB), transmitting through the Earth rocks at the depth of the order of 10 km, are presented. NB transmission through matter is connected with interaction with nuclear nucleons and with muon production. Microcracks, appearing on the muon tracks, also produce AER. It is shown that AER from NB of the Serpukhov accelerator at 600 GeV has the character of cylindrical waves and the value sufficient for measurements

Original Title

AbstractAbstract
[en] A magnetooptical channel is described, intended for shaping an extracted proton beam for neutrino experiments at the Serpukhov accelerator. To this end quadrupole lenses and deflecting magnets are used. A sufficiently wide aperture of 190 mm in diameter is designed. The adjustment tolerances and stability of power supply for channel magnetic elements as well as the effect of field harmonics on the beam have been considered. The effect of the higher harmonics of lens field on beam broadening has been minimized. The channel adjustment procedure has been elaborated. The obtained proton beam profiles on an external target agree well with the design ones. The intensity of the proton beam transported along the channel has been as high as 2.0x1012 particles per cycle, the average particle loss over the channel not exceeding the present ionizing radiation level

AbstractAbstract
[en] Calculated and experimental data are presented on the magneto-optical system to shape and transport HF separated particle beams for the 'Ludmila' 2-m liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber on the Serpukhov proton accelerator. A brief description is given of measuring instruments and tuning the system by means of methods of narrow rays and focal coefficients in various modifications. The optical system and the basic apparatus layout of the channel in experimental areas are shown. One of 30 proton bunches with a duration of 16 ns and at an energy of 50 GeV has been extracted from the accelerator and focused by the pulsed magneto-optical system on a copper target. The target efficiency is evaluated at 0.27-0.35. Quadrupole magnetic lenses, deflecting magnets and collimators are used in the magneto-optical system of the separated particle channel. The channel has been tuned on a beam of 22.9 GeV/c negative secondary particles. The investigation of the channel transmission power shows that in operation the aperture collimators separated about 10 per cent particle beam against the maximum possible value for the operating slot of the pulsed collimator equal to 5 mm. The total transmission band of the channel over momenta of particles from a target Δp/p is about +-14%. The estimated yield of 22.9 GeV/c antiprotons with a production angle o 0 deg when the target is bombarded by 1.1011 protons at an energy of 50 GeV is from 25 to 32 particles in a solid angle of 1 μ sterad in the pulse range Δp/p = 1%. The results of scanning a large series of test photographs show 4 to 5 antiprotons to be introduced into the bubble chamber during a pulse. Meanwhile in the bubble chamber 'beam-like' muons constitute about 2% and pions minus are not more than 1% of the number of antiprotons. Experimental evaluations of the ratio of antiproton to pions minus in an inseparated particle beam give the value of about 3.6x10-3. The theoretical and experimental results presented are in a good agreement

AbstractAbstract
[en] The charge asymmetry of the g, h, and k Dalitz plot parameters for K±→π±π0π0 decays has been measured with 35 GeV/c hadron beams at the 70 GeV IHEP accelerator. The g, h, and k values obtained appear to be identical for K± decays within the errors quoted. In particular, the charge asymmetry Ag=(g+-g-)/(g++g-) of the slope gis equal to (0.2±.9).10-3. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The results are presented for the charge asymmetry of the Dalitz plot parameters g, h, and k measured for K± → π±π0π0 decays. The experiment has been carried out in the 35-GeV/c kaon beams at the IHEP accelerator. The g, h, and k parameters appear to be identical for K+ and K- decays within the experimental uncertainty. In particular, a value of (0.2 ± 1.9) x 10-3 is obtained for the charge asymmetry Ag = (g+ - g-)/(g+ + g-) of the Dalitz plot slope

AbstractAbstract
[en] The principle of a method of separation of antideuterons is discussed. The first results on pure antideuteron beam with momentum 12.2 GeV/c for the Lyudmila bubble chamber are presented. The intensity of 63 GeV primary proton beam is equal to 1012 per cycle, the mean quantity of d(mean) approximately 0.7 per frame with hadronic background approximately 30%. (Auth.)
