[en] It is no longer a secret to anyone that radiation has a detrimental effect on human health. Radiation affects the body at the micro level, causing damage that is not immediately noticeable, but manifests itself after many years. The impact of radiation on human health is a serious problem that needs to be sorted out. And constant monitoring of the radiation situation allows timely detection of environmental pollution at an early stage and timely prevention of public exposure.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The article presents the results of sanitary and epidemiological monitoring in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in terms of the content of radionuclides in water. The research was carried out in samples taken from underground and open water sources, as well as in technical water from observation wells. Monitoring is carried out throughout the country annually for more than 20 years. This article presents a comparative analysis of the concentration of radionuclides in water for 2018 - 2020. It is shown that radioactive substances migrating and participating in the circulation of substances in nature remain at the level of average annual values of control levels. (author)
