AbstractAbstract
[en] Description is given of a method for manufacturing monocrystals, substantially free of disorder, of a metal showing an allotropic transformation at a temperature lower than its melting point. Monocrystals of the raw metal having undergone a uni-directional solidification are heated to a temperature between the allotropic transformation point and the metal melting point; the monocrystals are maintained in the vicinity of that temperature for a given period of time; they are cooled down to a temperature lower than the allotropic transformation point, then they are annealed and cooled down to room temperature. Such monocrystals are used in neutron monochromators

On decrit un procede de fabrication de monocristaux, pratiquement exempts de desorientation, d'un metal presentant un changement allotropique a une temperature inferieure a son point de fusion. On chauffe des monocristaux du metal brut ayant subi une solidification unidirectionnelle a une temperature comprise entre le point de transformation allotropique et la temperature de fusion du metal, on maintient les monocristaux pendant un temps determine au voisinage de cette temperature, on les refroidit jusqu'a une temperature inferieure au point de transformation allotropique, on les recuit et on les refroidit jusqu'a temperature ambiante.
