AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper will describe the experimental results obtained from a model of a dual frequency resonant power supply system that maintains flat bottom and flat top currents in the magnet. Two methods of injecting energy into the system so as to replace circuit losses are shown. The model is operated in a single pulse mode first and then operated in a repetition rate mode to observe the effects on the magnet flat bottom and flat top currents

AbstractAbstract
[en] An alternative to the linear increase and decrease of current through the magnets of a circular ring is a dual resonant frequency power supply that can maintain flat bottom and flat top currents in the magnets. This paper deals with the experimental results obtained by operating a model of such a power supply and observing the results of changes in various parameters. The model is first operated in a single-pulse mode starting from an equilibrium dc condition of the magnet flat bottom current. The effects of the circuit losses and the method of replacing energy in the system will be presented. When operating the power supply in continuous mode, it will be shown that the magnet flat bottom current and magnet flat top current can be controlled

AbstractAbstract
[en] The nuclear spin interactions and the associated quantum mechanical dynamics which are present in solid state NMR are introduced. A brief overview of aluminosilicate structure is presented and crystalline structure is then reviewed, with emphasis on the contributions made by 29Si NMR spectroscopy. The local structure of glass aluminosilicates as observed by NMR, is presented with analysis of the information content of 29Si spectra. A high-temperature (to 13000C) NMR spectroscopic investigation of the local environment and dynamics of molecular motion in molten aluminosilicates is described. A comparison is made of silicate liquid, glass, and crystalline local structure. The atomic and molecular motions present in a melt are investigated through relaxation time (T1 and T2) measurements as a function of composition and temperature for 23Na and 29Si

AbstractAbstract
[en] Incidents in a liquid-cooled nuclear reactor can cause a foaming of the coolant rendering usual measurements of the liquid level unserviceable. On the other hand it must be assured that the liquid level is sufficient for the elimination of heat. According to the invention the so-called collapsed liquid level is directly measured by means of a vertical tube which is open at the top and at the bottom and the interior of which is equipped with at least one measuring device for measuring the liquid level. The invention is to be applied for pressurized water reactors in particular. (orig.)

(orig.)Original Title
