AbstractAbstract
[en] A system for parameter control of Polaris polarized deutron cryogenic source is described. Advantage of the system is its noiseproofness when operating under strong electrical noises. The system consists of two main parts: positioned on a high-voltage column supply station of foreinjector and a subsystem on the control desk of LU-20 linear accelerator. Each sub system is controlled by an autonomous microcomputer. The systems are connected via fast sequential asynchronous data transfer channel. High voltage (700 kV) connection channel decoupling is carried out by means of optolines. 4 refs.; 1 fig

AbstractAbstract
[en] An electron string is a state of a one component electron plasma, which can arise when multiply reflected electrons are accumulated in a strong solenoidal magnetic field. Based on the electron beam ion source Krion-2 in the reflex mode of operation electron strings were used for production of highly charged argon ions. Evolution of K X-ray spectra during the confinement of Ar ions was obtained. Dielectronic recombination of Ar16+ ions with string electrons was detected. The possibility of K X-ray diagnostic for studies of electron strings is discussed. (orig.)

[en] Design and test results of a pulsed cryogenic polarized atomic hydrogen jet source are presented. The source uses cryopanels and turbomolecular pumps (3*500 l/s). The source has three superconducting sextupole magnets. The beam measurements are produced by two 4.7K thermal detectors. copyright 1995 American Institute of Physics

AbstractAbstract
[en] The reflex mode of EBIS operation in certain conditions (a special construction of electron gun and electron reflector, a precise axial symmetry of solenoid with a strong magnetic field, a sufficient injected electron current at a certain energy which provide a sufficient density of accumulated electrons in EBIS drift space) leads to formation of the so-called electron string state of a pure one component electron plasma. It was shown experimentally, that electron strings are stable in a broad range of operational conditions to be used for production of highly charged ions in electron string ion sources (ESIS) similarly to streaming electron beams in EBIS. The EBIS 'Krion-2' in the string mode of operation, by means of which electron string formation was first observed and majority of experimental information on its features has been obtained, was recently used as the source of highly charged ions on the Nuclotron accelerator facility. During two runs in June 2002 and June 2003 N6+, N7+, Ar16+ and Fe24+ ions of 300, 350, 200, and 150 μA pulse current, respectively, produced by this source were accelerated to relativistic energies and used in several experiments. During the runs the source situated on the high voltage platform of the LINAC preinjector worked mostly in an automatic mode of operation and showed high stability and reliability

AbstractAbstract
[en] The vector analyzing power has been measured for the reactions of elastic d↑p and d↑d scattering and for the inelastic reaction d↑C→pX. For the elastic processes the interval of squared 4-momentum transfer is -t=0.005--0.054 (GeV/c)2 . In the inelastic interaction protons were recorded at angles 75 and 120 degree lab in the energy interval 40--300 MeV. The measurements were made in a polarized deuteron beam in the deuteron momentum interval 2.38--12 GeV/c

AbstractAbstract
[en] A polarimeter for polarized deuteron beams at the JINR synchrophasotron in the energy range of several GeV per nucleon is described. A left-right-symmetrical detector configuration is used to measure vector and tensor polarizations of deuterons in the forward scattering on a liquid hydrogen target. In this paper we present the results of various measurements to adjust optimum conditions for the working regime of the ion source. (orig.)

(orig.)Secondary Subject
