AbstractAbstract
[en] Pre-glow is the multi-charged ion current burst that may occur at the beginning of the beam pulse. Pre-glow effect investigation is one of topical directions of ECR ion sources development at present. Pre-glow is of interest for efficient short-pulsed multicharged ion source creation. Particularly, such source of intense beams of short living radioactive isotopes multi-charged ions is one of key elements in 'Beta-Beam' European project. The use of Pre-glow-generating regime of an ECRIS operation is a promising way of pulsed high-intense multi-charged ion beams production with much shorter edges in comparison with usual operation regime. Numerical simulations made with the updated theoretical model allow authors to propose more physical and intuitive explanations of Pre-glow phenomenon origins. The obtained dependences of Pre-glow characteristics on experimental conditions offer a scaling for a wide range of ECRIS. The propose scaling demonstrates that an ECR source with plasma heating by radiation at frequency of 37 GHz and higher seems to be the most effective in terms of currents, pre-glow intensity and mean ion charge. The paper is followed by the slides of the presentation

AbstractAbstract
[en] The report contains some features of using Li17Pb83 eutectic as breeder for ITER fusion reactor. The use of eutectic in the ITER blanket as breeding material has its own advantages. Results of improvements of lithium-lead blanket channels are described in the report. Design analysis, operation conditions of breeding channels, technique of filling up with eutectic and tritium recovery problems are considered. The eutectic detritization is performed outside and also inside the reactor without removing the eutectic from the blanket. The report contains a survey of investigations of eutectic and channel structure thermal-mechanical behavior, that was the cause of the up to date channel design improvement. The first stage of the thermal and mechanical tests results in change of the channel structure to the sectioning one. The comprehensive tests of the channel models including thermo-mechanical effect of eutectic on the channel structure at the different operating conditions of the channel including the accident ones, the techniques for handling with eutectic etc. to justify the design decisions concerning the breeding eutectic blanket. Suggestions for the further development of the channel design are presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] Detectors from high-resistivity p-type silicon with multi guard rings structure located on the ohmic side have been investigated. The processed detectors were constructed with four p+-rings surrounding the central p+-pad. The n+-p junction opposite to the contact with rings had not any protection and was cut-through by chip scribing. Investigation of the potential distribution between the floating p+-rings has shown that the potential difference arises just after the depletion of the detector bulk and is accompanied by the detector leakage current saturation. The saturated current is mainly a leakage current flowing in a scribed periphery. Grounding of one of the p+-rings to collect the detector leakage current allows the separation of the bulk and the surface components of the current, which reduces the current of a central p+-pad contact down to tens nA/cm2. A model based on the field effect in the gap between the neighboring p+-rings is proposed. The experiments carried out in this study show that construction of the ohmic side of Si detectors with multi guard rings is a perspective approach to design the detectors operational at high biases. Detectors processed in this way allow one to apply biases up to 600 V

AbstractAbstract
[en] The structural, energy, and optical properties of charged and neutral molecular clusters (MCs) of silver Agn (n = 2–5) have been simulated within the density functional theory (DFT). It has been shown that the electronic absorption spectrum of neutral MCs is shifted toward lower energies compared to the charged ones. The strengths of the oscillators of neutral MCs are mainly larger than the ones of charged MCs. A comparison of the simulation results with the previously obtained experimental ones for glasses with silver MCs has been carried out.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The possibility of double spectral conversion of UV radiation from the spectral range of 240–280 nm to the visible spectral region using luminescent glasses and fibers with antimony ions and molecular silver clusters is shown. Planar and fiber prototypes of UV radiation dosimeters are tested. It is shown that the sensitivities of dosimeter of the first and second types are 1400 and 360 mV/W/m2, respectively.

AbstractAbstract
[en] A computer simulation is reported of the growth of a pulse in a laser with a controlled VO2 mirror. It is shown that the duration and the profile of the leading edge of an output pulse can be controlled by specifying the initial reflection profile of the VO2 mirror. AbstractAbstract
[en] The main function of the fusion reactor blanket is ensuring tritium breeding and radiation shield. The blanket version depends on the reactor type (experimental, DEMO, commercial) and its parameters. Blanket operation conditions are defined with the heat flux, neutron load/fluence, cyclic operation, dynamic heating/force loading, MHD effects etc. DEMO/commercial blanket design is distinguished e.g. by rather high heat load and neutron fluence - up to 100 W/cm2 and 7 MWa/m2 accordingly. This conditions impose specific requirements for the materials, structure, maintenance of the blanket and its most loaded components - FW and limiter. The liquid Li-Pb eutectic is one of the possible breeder for different kinds of blanket in view of its advantages one of which is the blanket convertibility that allow to have shielding blanket (borated water) or breeding one (Li-Pb eutectic). Using Li-Pb eutectic for both ITER and DEMO blankets have been considered. In the conceptual ITER design the solid eutectic blanket was carried out. The liquid eutectic breeder/coolant is suggested also for the advanced (high parameter) blanket

AbstractAbstract
[en] The winding schemes with a fractional numbers of slots per pole and phase q have been known and used for a long time. However, in the literature on the low-noise machines design there are not recommended to use. Nevertheless, fractional q windings have been realized in many applications of special AC electrical machines, allowing to improve their performance, including vibroacoustic one. This paper deals with harmonic analysis of windings having integer and fractional q in permanent magnet synchronous motors, a comparison of their characteristics is performed, frequencies of subharmonics are revealed. Optimal winding pitch design is found giving reduce the amplitudes of subharmonics. Distribution factors for subharmonics, fractional and high-order harmonics are calculated, results analysis is represented, allowing for giving recommendations how to calculate distribution factors for different harmonics when q is fractional. AbstractAbstract
[en] Data on the spectral composition and intensity of electromagnetic radiation of corona discharge are obtained in an experimental study performed on the outdoor switchgear of the Shagol 500-kV substation of the Chelyabinsk Enterprise of Trunk Transmission Grids and under a 500-kV Shagol - Kozyrevo overhead transmission line. The electromagnetic environment on the territory of the 500-kV outdoor switchgear is shown to be determined by narrow-band radiations (harmonics of the frequency of electric supply) and wide-band radiations due to corona discharges of high-voltage sources. This means that the personnel experience the action of a commercial-frequency electric field and electromagnetic radiation of a quite wide range, which is not allowed for by the existing guidelines. It is recommended to continue the study in cooperation with medical institutions in order to create guidelines that would allow for the joint action of commercial-frequency electric field and electromagnetic radiation and for the voltage in the line, the current load, the meteorological situation, and other factors

AbstractAbstract
[en] We estimate the accuracy of the reconstruction of the structure function xF3(x,Q2) and the non-singlet combination for the fragmentation function (z, Q2) used in description of the deep inelastic scattering by the Mellin inverse transformation method with the parabolic shape of contour running from the saddle point proposed by Kosower. We demonstrate the applicability of this contour calculated at some fixed value of momentum transfer squared Q20 for the evaluation of the non-singlet structure functions at any experimental Q2 values.
