AbstractAbstract
[en] Mechanism for detecting heavy charged particles in breakdown counters based on a breakdown possibility in a than dielectric along track at the moment of the particle passing at a field intensity considerably lesser than proper breakdown intensity is described. Characteristics of breakdown counters of silicon of the p- and n-types were compared. Necessity of increasing the sensitive surface of the counters has been concluded. It will result in their aperture ratio increase which is especially important during the work with accelerator beams and in experiments with the application of the time-of-flight technique. For n-silicon counters the area increase will result in the growth of operating life which makes it possible their application in the experiments where the count of events at a good statistic accuracy is necessary

AbstractAbstract
[en] The fabrication technology of dielectric break-down counters based on a MOS structure and designed to record heavy ions is described. To produce counters use was made of low-resistant n-Si. The MOS structure was obtained by the method of thermal growing of a layer of SiO2 having a thickness of 1400 A on a chemically polished surface of the sample with further spraying of a forward aluminium electrode with a thickness of 500 A. One Si sample accomodated several counters. The rear electrode consisting in a layer of Al was common to all counters. By using the above-mentioned technology dielectric breakdown counters have been produced with a total area of the sensitive surface of up to 110 cm2. Results of investigations of such important counter characteristics as the detection efficiency, stability, reliability and reproducibility of counting characteristics in the process of counter fabrication are given. It has been found that the detection efficiency constitutes approximately 100%. The value of specific energy losses in SiO2, at which detection of heavy ions is still possible, is equal to 22+-2 MeVxcm2/mg. The maximum service life of counters in detecting fission fragments constituted approximately 3x10 cm-2. The results of multi-day tests of breakdown detectors showed good stability of their counting characteristics and efficiency

AbstractAbstract
[en] The process of welding pipes of the 12Kh2MFSR pearlitic steels and austenitic steels of the Mn-Cr-Si-Ni system was studied. The filler materials were selected, and the working capacity of welded joints was examined in ageing and cyclic heatings. The microhardness of steels was measured, and the ultimate strength of welded joints was determined. The following has been established: the composite joints of steels of the Mn-Cr-Si-Ni system and 12Kh2MFSR steel are advisable to be welded on a coating layer welded by the EhA395/9 electrodes on the surface of a pipe of the 12Kh2MFSR pearlitic steel; this guarantees the sufficient working capacity of welded joints
