AbstractAbstract
[en] γ reversible α transition is studied in metallic cerium from the point of view of the theory of critical indices. Model values of critical indices have been calculated on the basis of the theory of ''pseudobinary solutions''. Established is the correlation of model and experimental results of critical indices along the equilibrium curve of γ- and α-phases of metallic cerium. A conclusion is made that γ reversible α transition in cerium is a transition of critical type, and cerium has a critical point on phase diagram, similar to the critical point of the liquid-steam system

[en] Behaviour of cerium thermodynamic properties at the pressures and temperatures above the critical point is investigated. Stability of thermodynamic equilibrium in the above-critical region is considered on the base of the theory of pseudobinary solid solutions and experimental data. The line of continuous type phase transitions (quasispinodal) is shown to be the continuation of the γ-α phase equilibrium line.
