[en] The nature of interactions in the compositions of stabilized ZrO2 - rare earth chromite at 1750 deg C is clarified and the data on engineering parameters of the Zr-Cr refractory specimens are determined. [en] The paper studies the effect of Al2O3, SiO2, MgO and 3Al2O3x2SiO2 on LnCrO3 synthesis (Ln-Nd, Sm, Yb) under high temperatures. The values of activation energy of solid-phase reactions of Zn2O3 interaction with Cr2O3 are calculated. Synthesis in oxidizing medium is shown to occur mainly via one-sided diffusion of Cr3+ cations through reaction product layer
