AbstractAbstract
[en] Information on INIS output materials - INIS magnetic tape, INIS Atomindex, full texts of non-conventional literature on microfiches. Complex is provided of INIS-SDI service by the Nuclear Information Centre for CSSR. The Unified Software System (USS) of the UVTEI-UTZ (the Central Technical Base of the Central Office for Scientific, Technical and Economic Information) is used for the automated processing of INIS magnetic tapes. A survey of INIS-SDI services in the years 1974 to 1978 is given. The further development of the system consists in the use of the terminal network, with direct access to the IAEA computer in Vienna. [en] The INIS/AGRIS direct access experiment is described and characterized as a significant contribution to the development of the two information systems allowing them to keep pace with the world-wide development of information systems. It is aimed at improving and extending the INIS/AGRIS services and making them available to all member states. Phase I of the experiment is described in more detail and its outcome is evaluated

[en] A brief information is presented on INIS and the preparation is described of the Czechoslovak INIS input materials. The results are reported of a detailed analysis of input materials dispatched to the INIS system by the Czechoslovak inputting centre in 1975. The 956 items were used for analyzing the composition according to INIS subject categories, type of record, language, source journals, author affiliations, and for the time lag between the publication and the dispatch of the processed materials to IAEA. A list is annexed of INIS subject categories. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The work of the Nuclear Information Centre (NIC) is characterized by two main functions, namely the function of the sector information centre within the Czechoslovak nuclear programme, and Czechoslovakia's participation in INIS. The factual content of NIC activities will in the coming years be oriented to two main areas: in the field of providing information sources it is to cover all data sources by its connection to all relevant information files available at home and abroad. In compliance with the world information trend the focus of NIC activities will shift to the second area, namely to the provision of knowledge. Since 1986 it has been involved in the research project ''Factual data banks and other information sources for the Czechoslovak nuclear programme''. The main aim of the project is to establish data retrieval systems using microcomputer technology. In this respect NIC cooperation with the respective institutions in the GDR and in Poland is very important. (Z.M.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Since June, 1978 Czechoslovakia has been participating in the IAEA terminal network allowing direct access to INIS and AGRIS data bases. A display and a printer from Hungary and a modem of a home make were used for equipping the terminal station. The equipment has been fully proven in operation. The Building is prepared of a home terminal network connected to the IAEA computer for rapid and quality meeting the information needs of Czechoslovak users. The connection is also considered of the projected network to ESA/IRS data bases via IIASA. (Ha)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Brief information is given on the establishment and development of INIS, the International Nuclear Information System. The individual stages are described of input materials preparation in the member countries, i.e., the acquistion of documents, assignment of categories, writing of abstracts and dispath of full texts of nonconventional literature. The central processing of input materials in the IAEA Clearinghouse, quality control and the compilation of a unified data base are described. (author)
