AbstractAbstract
[en] The existing data on energy-dependences of the fundamental parameters of K0-/bar K/0 system, and the limits on the decay K+ → π+ + (invisible neutrals), are used in conjunction with geophysical data to explore the coupling of the putative fifth force to quantities other than baryon number. 21 refs., 2 tabs

AbstractAbstract
[en] We review recent experimental and theoretical work dealing with the proposed fifth force. Further analysis of the original Eotvos experiments has uncovered no challenges to our original assertion that these data evidence a correlation characteristic of the presence of a new coupling to baryon number or hypercharge. Various models suggest that the proposed fifth force could be accommodated naturally into the existing theoretical framework. 40 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] We present a phenomenological description of the ''fifth force'' which focuses on the implications of the existing data from satellite and geophysical measurements of gravity, the Eoetvoes experiment, decays into hyperphotons, and the energy-dependence of the K0 - anti K0 parameters

AbstractAbstract
[en] After briefly reviewing the status of recent experiments looking for the fifth force in ordinary matter, we discuss two classes of experiments sensitive to the presence of a coupling of kaons to the fifth force. These are attempts to detect hyperphotons (γ/sub Y/) in the decay K/sub L/ → π+π-γ/sub Y/, and searches for an energy-dependence of the K0 - /bar K/sup 0// parameters. 29 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] We have carefully reexamined the results of the experiment of Eoetvoes, Pekar, and Fekete, which compared the accelerations of various materials to the Earth. We find that the Eoetvoes-Pekar-Fekete data are sensitive to the composition of the materials used, and that their results support the existence of an intermediate-range coupling to baryon number or hypercharge

AbstractAbstract
[en] There is a theorem known as a Virial theorem that restricts the possible existence of non-trivial static solitary waves with scalar fields in a flat space-time with 3 or more spatial dimensions. This raises the following question: does the analogous curved space-time version hold? We investigate the possibility of solitons in a 4-D curved space-time with a simple model using numerical analysis. We found that there exists a static solution of the proposed non linear wave equation. This proves that in curved space-time the possibilities of solitonic solutions is enhanced relative to the flat space-time case. (Author)
