[en] This paper explain in detail the advantage of using Microsoft Office Sharepoint System or Sharepoint-Knowledge Management System (SP-KMS) use as a platform for knowledge sharing among Nuclear Malaysia staffs. SP-KMS was launched in early June 2010 for Technical Programme starting with Technical Support Division, Radiation Safety and Health Division, Engineering Division and Reactor Technology Division. The uses of SP-KMS then expand in other division that need knowledge sharing such as Research Institute of Management Center (RIMC) and Agricultural and Biosciences Division. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In accordance with the current asset management procedures, all 100% of the Department's assets must be inspected annually. Management targets a KPI of 100% asset inspection. The Divisional Asset Inspection Status needs to be submitted to the Procurement and Assets Unit (UPA) on a monthly basis for monitoring and record purposes. Meanwhile, a completed and signed Asset Inspection Report (Kewpa-10/Kewpa-11) must be submitted to UPA at the end of the year. Issues arise for IT Centre (ITC) which face with a relatively large number of movable and capital assets located in various locations. Network equipment such as switches, routers and access points (AP) are IT Centre assets that are installed in almost every block in Bangi Complex and Jalan Dengkil. The Asset Inspection List through the Asset Management & Maintenance System (SPA) shows that there are almost 150 units of network equipment under the maintenance of IT Centre in 2018. This number will continue to increase from time to time according to users' needs for internet access. The short equipment life cycle as a result of rapid changes in ICT technology is also one of the factors in the replacement of new network equipment. In this situation, the user at the asset location is the most appropriate “asset inspector” in providing feedback on the current status of the asset. Based on paragraphs 16.1 and 16.2 of Chapter C of Treasury Circular No. 5 of 2007, government assets must be kept in a safe place and always under the control of the responsible officer. Government Security Instructions must always be followed to prevent damage or loss of assets; and each officer is liable for any shortage, damage or loss of assets under his responsibility. Therefore, the conversion of the nominee/user of the IT Centre to the user at the asset location is a solution to the issue of assets inspection of shared network equipment within the agency. AbstractAbstract
[en] Research and Development (R and D) is a main activity carried out at the Malaysian Nuclear Agency particularly in the physical science and nuclear field. The R and D activity that is carried out needs to be managed more efficiently and systematically. Until now all research management activities are carried out manually or semi electronically, beginning from filling in application forms to when the project is completed. Therefore a computerized system is needed in order to manage and monitor R and D projects. The R and D system is capable of giving access information concerning R and D projects which are carried out to users inside and outside the agency. The R and D management system (RDMS) can increase the capability of the Malaysian Nuclear Agency in managing, researching and developing, innovating and inventing technology as well as commercializing the R and D produced. AbstractAbstract
[en] IT Center (ITC) as technical support and provider for most of web-based systems in Nuclear Malaysia has conducted a study to investigate cookie vulnerability in a system for better integrity. A part of the result has found that cookies in a web-based system in Nuclear Malaysia can be easily manipulated. The main objective of the study is to harden the vulnerability of the cookies. Two levels of security procedures have been used and enforced which consist of 1) Penetration test (Pen Test) 2) Hardening procedure. In one of the system, study has found that 121 attempts threats have been detected after the hardening enforcement from 23 March till 20 September 2012. At this stage, it can be concluded that cookie vulnerability in the system has been hardened and integrity has been assured after the enforcement. This paper describes in detail the penetration and hardening process of cookie vulnerability for better supporting web-based system in Nuclear Malaysia. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The emerging technology commonly referred to as ''Big Data Analytics'' which denoted as a new way of collecting and analyzing large amount of data to support decision making has a big potential in enhancing the security system in Nuclear Sector. Research finding indicates that integrated data management and associated analytic software tools are not being used extensively for security applications in the nuclear sector. Currently, most information and data in nuclear security applications are managed in silos both within and between organizations which resulted in many of current data management systems for nuclear security system are suboptimal hence cannot provide support to improve security decision and control. This paper aims to propose a big data analytics framework that might be used or useful as a guideline process to integrate security related data and analyze it towards providing better security decision and control. Integrating information that is traditionally owned by the security department with other information held by other related department in the organization could improve security decision and control for the Nuclear Organization. The framework can be used to set a foundation for the development of an integrated, real-time and intelligent security system for Nuclear Organization. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] An Application Programming Interface (API) is a set of rules and protocols that allows different software applications to communicate and interact with each other. In today's rapidly evolving technology, APIs have gained popularity due to their ability to facilitate seamless integration and data exchange between various systems. This paper focuses on the development of an API within the context of Agensi Nuklear Malaysia, with the aim of creating a secure RESTful API web service. By using the Laravel framework and implementing JWT, this project aims to modernize the organization's current conventional web-based approaches, which lack the flexibility and scalability offered by APIs. the paper presents the framework of the API architecture, outlines the development process, and emphasizes the potential benefits and impact that this technology. Testing is using Postman to ensures the functionality of the API and JWT. By embracing an API-driven approach, Agensi Nuklear Malaysia can unlock new possibilities for seamless integration with emerging technologies, such as IoT devices, mobile applications and other possible areas. This transition will not only enhance the organization's technological capabilities but also facilitate collaboration with partners and foster innovation in RND activities within Agensi Nuklear Malaysia. AbstractAbstract
[en] Throughout the world, big data analytics technology has been applied in many domains, such as business management, medical, marketing, and tourism industry. Recently, this technology is applied in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. But how is this big data analytics technology resides in the nuclear sector? Big data analytics is denoted as a new way of collecting, processing, and analyzing high volume, high velocity, high variety, high veracity, high value, and high variability of data (information assets) that require new forms of processing, finding the appropriate patterns that enable the enhanced decision making and insight discovery, hence improve and optimize prediction, decisions, and solutions. The objective of this literature review is to examine existing research work into big data analytics for nuclear security. This paper describes the systematic literature review methodology applied in this review process and presents results of the insights on how big data analytics is inhabited in the nuclear sector, particularly for the nuclear security field. The result indicates that there exist several initiatives in adopting big data analytics in the nuclear sector. The niche focus area is for nuclear power plant operation and maintenance optimization. However, up to now, we have yet to find evidence that there exists research in big data analytics specifically for nuclear security. (author)
