[en] Method is described of measuring non-uniform intensity lambda (t) of the accelerator secondary bunch. A model has been considered where intensity lambda (t) is a piecewise constant function. It has been proved possible to introduce a single parameter, K, characterizing a difference of lambda (t) from the constant during process of interaction of the accelerator primary bunch and the (''shed'' time). The parameter K characterizes the ''shed'' non-uniformity integrally. K is determined through the number of readings, omitted by recording diagrams with various dead times. Behaviour of parameter K points to non-uniform frequencies depending upon the diagram dead time. A unit for measuring time non-uniformities in the bunch is described and measurement results for ''shed'' of different configuration are given

[en] A device of an anticoincidence channel, containing an input pulse shaper, is described. To ensure a better precision of registering the outlet of the input shaper is accomplished with parellelly connected linear delay elements. The time of delay of each of those elemtns differs from that of the next one according to the value of the pulse duration and the outlets of the delay elements are attached to the passive summator which is connected in series with the outlet amplitude shaper. The advantage of the installation is the possibility to shape pulses with pulse space close to zero

[en] The method for studying photomultiplier characteristics based on counting the number of photons detected with photomutipliers is described. The time characteristics of the FEU K14Fs-50 and FEU-63 photomultipliers are presented. The mean resolution is sigmasub(1)=200 ns for FEU K14Fs-50 and sigmasub(2)=350 ns for FEU-63. The results are in good agreement with the calculated values of the mean resolutions for neutrons with momenta of 200-700 MeV/c, sigmasup(n)sub(1)=0.400 ns and sigmasup(n)sub(2)=0.550 ns

[en] A method is described for the absolute calibration of neutron spectrometers by particle transit time. The particular feature of the method is that, in order to increase the accuracy of calibration and direct measurement of the resolution of the instrument, measurements are made of the transit times of neutron particles or gamma quanta originating in the target from the target to the centre of the neutron counter. Neutral particles are selected with signal amplitude spectra near to the signal amplitude spectrum for neutron recording. The accuracy of absolute calibration of the spectrometer by transit time is Δt = +-3x10-1sec. It is also possible to determine experimentally the upper limit of time resolution of the instrument. [en] The main parameters of magnetic 6-meter spectrometer, set at second particle beams of IHEP proton synchrotron, are considered. Determination algorithm of charged particle track parameters in spectrometer magnetic field is described. Spectrometer track detector is placed in 150x80 cm cross section electromagnet gap. Field induction nominal value in the gap centre is 1.9 T. Detector consists of 64 spark chambers with electrodynamic technique of information reading. A traditional method, based on numerical solution of two second-order differential equations system for charged particle trajectory in magnetic field and usage of least squares method when evaluating parameters and their errors, is used to determine particle track parameters. A new feature of the algorithm used is the introduction of supplementary parameter - spark cross driftage in crossing electric and magnetic fields. This new parameter characterizes track origination time in spectrometer relative to the start-up signal and is used to determine tracks unrelated to the event. The algorithm described is realized in computer codes for PDP-15, BESM-6 and ES 1060 computers. By their means ∼300 thousand of events have been processed. The data obtained give evidence of conducting calculations satisfactory accuracy
