AbstractAbstract
[en] Reflection high energy electron diffraction (RHEED) and synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy (SRPES) have been used to investigate the evolution of the crystallinity and interface reaction of Co thin films deposited on Sb/GaAs(1 1 0). The RHEED images have allowed us to qualitative observe an improvement of the Co bcc crystal structure compared to the deposition on the bare substrate. Additionally, the use of high energy resolution synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy has shown that the interdiffusion process behaves differently from that observed for the non-passivated surface

AbstractAbstract
[en] The applicability of the particle-particle correlation method to obtain spectroscopic information on unbound states is investigated. Spins, parities and partial proton widths of some levels in 41Sc have been determined from measurements of the reaction 40Ca(d,n)41Sc(p)40Ca and compared with the results from elastic proton scattering. The resonance width is an important test for the reliability of DWBA calculations. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Spins, parities and partial widths of proton unbound states in 41Sc and 59Cu have been determined by proton-neutron angular correlation measurements on the reactions 40Ca(d,n)41Sc(p)40Ca and 58Ni(d,n)59Cu(p)58Ni at deuteron energies of 11 and 10 MeV respectively, for a fixed neutron angle (250) and various proton angles. The data were analyzed in the framework of the DWBA theory using a resonance form factor. The calculations were performed following the approach of Vincent and Fortune. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Stripping reactions to unbound states in 29P and 29Si were investigated by measuring proton--neutron angular correlations. Similar to stripping experiments which include the measurement of the polarization of the incoming or outgoing particle, this method allows assignments of spins, parities, and partial widths of highly excited levels. The applicability of this method was tested for the case of 29P, where information is available from proton scattering. Also, several new assignments were possible for unstable levels of 29Si. For the analysis of the data a distorted-wave Born-approximation program for the calculation of transfer reactions to unbound states was developed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Stripping reactions leading to unbound states of 29Si and 29P nuclei were investigated by measuring proton-neutron correlations in 28Si(d,p)29Si(n)28Si and 28Si(d,n)29P(p)28Si reactions at Esub(lab) = 11 MeV. Twenty three states of 29Si were observed in the excitation energy range from 9.00 MeV to 13.43 MeV, and seventeen states of 29P in the energy range from 5.48 MeV to 9.81 MeV. For most of them spin, parity and partial width were derived. (author)
