AbstractAbstract
[en] The experimental results for the structure and decay studies for the A = 254 isobaric chain, Z = 93 to 108, have been reviewed. These data are summarized and presented together with the adopted levels, decay schemes and radiation properties. Theoretical studies are given as comments. The following nuclides for A = 254 have not been observed and only their theoretical or systematic studies have been reported: Z = 93 (Np) to Z = 97 (Bk); Z = 105 (Db) to Z = 108 (Hs). New measurements have been reported in 254No

AbstractAbstract
[en] Identification of near-yrast states in the β -stable nucleus 91Zr51 has been carried out using the fusion evaporation reaction, 82Se(13C, 4n)91Zr at an incident beam energy of 50 MeV. States above the reported τ =6 μs, Iπ = 21/2+ isomeric level at Ex = 3167 keV have been identified for the first time in this work, a tentative decay scheme of near-yrast states to excitation energies in excess of 10 MeV has been constructed. These states are of relevance to shell model structures formed via limited valence-space configurations in this semi-magic N = 51 nucleus. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new focal plane detector arrangement for the Fragment Mass Analyzer (FMA) has been built and tested at Argonne National Laboratory. This set-up is particularly sensitive for performing Recoil-Isomer Tagging on nuclei with isomeric states with lifetimes in the microsecond range. Recoiling nuclei from fusion-evaporation reactions at the target position are dispersed by their ratio of mass to charge (A/q) by the FMA and stopped in low pressure gas (air) at the focal plane. Subsequent gamma decays from isomeric states in the reaction products are observed using Ge detectors. A constant gas flow through the focal plane chamber efficiently removes longer-lived beta-decaying species from sight of the detectors. This set-up has been commissioned successfully with the microsecond isomer in 80Rb, populated via the 52Cr(32S, 3pn) reaction at 135 MeV

AbstractAbstract
[en] An experiment aiming to search for new isomers in the region of proton emitter "1"5"1Lu was performed at the Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyväskylä (JYFL), by combining the high resolution γ-ray array JUROGAM, gas-filled RITU separator and GREAT detectors with the triggerless total data readout acquisition (TDR) system. In this proceeding, we revisit the level scheme of "1"5"1Lu by using the proton-tagging technique. A level scheme consistent with the latest experimental results is obtained, and 3 additional levels are identified at high excitation energies. (author)
