AbstractAbstract
[en] The effects of stressed states of crystals in the presence therein of various flaws on electron thermoluminescence and thermoexoemission were studied. Bure LiF crystals and LiF crystals with admixtures of U, Mg, Hg, Fe and In were used in the work. Heat emission spectra are shown for non-deformed and plastically deformed samples. Heat treatment essentially affects the spectral characteristics of heat emission. The admixtures sharply change the character and overall intensity of thermoluminescence and thermoemission spectra. X-ray treatment of pure and admixed LiF crystals also essentially affects those specta. LiF crystal hardening at large irradiation doses gives rise to the assumption that the irradiation hardening is basically caused by formation of vacancies in the bulk of a crystal

AbstractAbstract
[en] Comparison of the structure, the range od the bond ionic property and slip geometry with an account of primary and secondary slip elements in three cubic crystals PbS, LiF and CsI is conducted. Previously unknown ionic properties of PbS and CsI are evaluated. It is shown that ionic property range increases in the series PbS-LiF-CsI. In the least ionic galena Coulomb interaction determines only the slip direction, and in LiF and CsI - the plane and the slip direction. Possible types of dislocations and dislocation reactions are analyzed

AbstractAbstract
[en] On LiF crystals of various degrees of purity the authors have studied the dependence of the optical, mechanical, and electric properties on the dose of gamma radiation in the range 104-8.25 x 106 J/kg. They find an oscillating variation of all these characteristics. The amplitude and frequency of the oscillations of the properties are a maximum for the least pure LiF crystal

AbstractAbstract
[en] The viscous dragging of dislocations in CsI, NaCl, and LiF crystals in the temperature range of 77 to 293 K is studied on the basis of experimental and theoretical investigations of the shock deformation kinetics in crystalline rods. The dynamics of dislocations in NaCl and LiF crystals deformed by ultrashort pressure pulses produced by an electron beam is investigated. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Annealing of CsI crystals in air is shown to favour contamination of the crystal with anionic admixtures, while annealing of CsI crystals in vacuo brings about rearrangement of impurity centres. Vacuum-annealed crystals become more plastic; moreover, the mechanism of overcoming hindrances by dislocations changes. The obtained data allow the elaboration of a method for controlling the mechanical properties of cesium iodide
