AbstractAbstract
[en] Principles of establishment and the optical diagram of a powerfuel laser amplifier module of the ''Delfin'' installation designed for spherical heating of thermonuclear targets are considered. Results of investigations into parameters of irradiation of the amplifier module in different regimes of operation are given. The focusing system of laser radiation on the surface of tarqets is described; results of experiments on plasma heating by the radiation of three constituent laser beams at the laser energy level up to 1 kJ at the current density up to 1014 W/cm2 are analysed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Remote optical-television target position monitoring systems used in laser thermonuclear installation are described. The monitoring technique involves generating and projecting on a television monitor images of the target from two different directions of observation using variable magnification optical devices. Position monitoring accuracy for a target 0.3-1 mm in diameter over a 300 mm distance was +- 5 mkm

AbstractAbstract
[en] Heating processes and dynamics of compression of shell targets irradiated by laser pulse of nanosecond duration at the ''Kalmar'' installation are investigated. Complex techniques of investigations into energy balance, target compression dynamics, radiation at 3/2 ω0 and 2ω0 harmonics frequencies scattered by plasma, spectral distribution of continuous X-ray radiation are developed and applied. The application of the above techniques has permitted to find the dependences of constituents of the energy balance on target parameters; to establish the general regularities of shell motion, identity phenomena, taking place in regions of critical and quarter critical density; to prove experimentally the possibility of achieving densities many times exceeding the density of the solid body in the regime of ''compressing shell''

AbstractAbstract
[en] Heating and dynamics of compression of shell targets irradiated by a nanosecond laser pulse in the ''Kal'mar'' facility are investigated. Comprehensive procedures are developed and used to investigate the energy balance and the compression dynamics of the target scattered by the radiation plasma at the harmonic frequencies 2ωo and 3/2ωo, and of the spectral distribution of the continuous x radiation. The use of the developed procedures has made it possible to clarify the dependence of the components of the energy balance on the target parameters, to establish new regularities governing the shell motion, to identify the phenomena that take place in the region of the critical and quarter-critical density, and to demonstrate experimentally the possibility of reaching in the ''exploding pusher'' regime densities much higher than the density of a solid body

AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of the experiments and theoretical studies on the craters formation in the targets from different materials under the effect of the powerful neodymium laser within the intensities range from 1010 up to 1014 W/cm2 are presented. The studies on the laser beam interaction with solid targets are carried out with the purpose of determining the efficiency of the materials ablation loading and laser transformation into the shock wave energy
