AbstractAbstract
[en] The preparation and characterisation of a new series of 10B and 6LiF reference deposits for accurate neutron fluence rate measurements are described and compared to those of an earlier campaign. Important improvements have been made by designing and building a new planetary rotating substrate holder and by using an optimized vacuum deposition set-up. Both deposition homogeneity and edge sharpness were significantly improved. However, a hitherto unrecognized source of border effect, i.e. mask expansion during the vacuum deposition process, was observed and discussed. (orig.)
