AbstractAbstract
[en] The use of streak cameras in laboratories working on Laser Fusion is still too often limited by the long procedure required for film processing before delivering an useful diagnostic. Here we present different ways (vacuum low level TV tube, linear solid state array of photodiodes) developed in our laboratory to readout the images of streak cameras. They provide time resolution in the 10 ps range, with one to 32 spatial channels and may be interfaced with the computer data acquisition system now used in Limeil

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper presents the latest performances of our P 550 X soft X-ray camera for laser fusion applications. This instrument is sensitive to photon energies down to 100 eV and has the same spatio-temporal performances than standard X-ray streak cameras

AbstractAbstract
[en] Streak cameras are now currently used as a basic tool in the diagnostics instrumentation or laser-plasma interaction studies. We have recently shown at the 15th congress which was held in San Diego the properties of the P 650 soft X-ray camera having both optimized spatial and temporal resolutions (16-20 lp.mm-1, 3 to 5 ps). During 1983-1984 we have continued our efforts to improve and extend the performances of these diagnostics. New developments include: - the used of a cylindrical mirror with the P 650 X-ray streak camera, in order to obtain a streaked soft X-ray imaging device which will be describe with some more details in the following paper; - study of a new X-ray streak camera using a modified image converter tube P 750 X with a best lamellar optics; - enhancement of photocahode sensitivity by testing new materials; - development of new photocathode-tube window arrangement in order to record both laser and X-ray signals; - another important improvement in the same field is the C.C.D. readout which is presented in other papers

AbstractAbstract
[en] The detection of near infrared picosecond luminous events is of the highest interest in the laser fusion research. The temporal profile of the 1.06 μm laser pulse, has to be carefully measured with S1 streak cameras which present limitations in the picosecond range. We have undertaken measurement on S1 photodiodes to situate their fatigue threshold and try to understand the limitations of image converter tubes we also present the work undertaken at R.T.C./L.E.P. to produce stable and highly sensitive image converter tubes in the micron range with the ''transfer sensitization method''.
