[en] Design features of current-limiting reactors with superconducting screens, designated for limiting currents of short circuit in power systems are considered. Comparative analysis of technical and economical characteristics of nonlinear reactors with screens and cryogenic supply systems of various types is conducted. Relations for calculating optimal parameters of reactors with closed and open screens and helium and nitrogen refrigeration systems are obtained

[en] A combined nanosecond pulsed electric discharge, combining the discharge over a dielectric surface and breakdown across the interelectrode gap, has been studied. A beam of accelerated protons is generated in this system with a maximum energy of up to 350 keV that exceeds the high-voltage source potential. The phenomenon of selective acceleration of hydrogen ions has been observed. It is established that the probability of ion generation depends on the electrode polarity

[en] The energy and mass compositions of the plasma generated by a nanosecond coaxial discharge on the surface of high-pressure polyethylene at different polarities of the central electrode with and without a vacuum gap between the dielectric and the peripheral electrode are investigated.
