AbstractAbstract
[en] Specific features of structure-phase changes in Kh18N10T steel irradiated by neutrons are investigated by the methods of diffraction electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis. It is established that vacancy pore nucleation and radiation-induced precipitations of σ-phase are not interrelated. Void-precipitation complexes are formed in evolution of the defect structure under irradiation. The impurity 'fur' stimulating the change in the void form from the transcated octahedron to the cubic one is formed around free pores as a result of the Kirkendall effect back action. The void reverse transformation due the surface diffusion of 'fur' impurities to the σ-phase is possible in case of the cubic form coalescence with the σ-phase precipitation. The impurity 'fur' forming around cubic voids decreases the rate of their growth. 9 refs.; 6 figs.; 2 tabs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Effects of pulse fluxes of hydrogen, helium and hydrohelium plasma with the power density of 2 3 MW/cm2 on the mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steels Kh16N15M3B and Kh18N10T are investigated. Plasmoids with 2μs temporal extent and ∼ 2 keV mean energy of particles are used. Tensile tests have shown that irradiation up to ∼1018 cm-2 doses leads to specimen strengthening by 1.8 times and to the worsening of their plastic properties by 2.3-2.7 times. Layer-by-layer electron microscopic analysis has shown that as a result of irradiation in the near-surface steel layers the cell structure expanding up to ∼ 25 μm depths occurs. The cell structure occurrence permits to explain the change in their mechanical characteristics. 12 refs.; 6 figs.; 2 tabs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Structure-phase transformations and swelling of manganese austenitic steel EhP-838 were studied under irradiation by 3 MeV energy Cr2+ ions. It is found that defect structure after irradiation differs from that for chromium-nickel steels what is possibly connected with stacking fault defect energy change. Swelling of EhP-838 steel is practically the same as for chromiumnickel steels but incubation period of swelling is longer

AbstractAbstract
[en] The alloy properties may sufficiently change when adding small concentrations of separate elements. Therewith influence effects, as a rule, are not proportional to the quantity ratio of their concentration and normal composition of the alloys. When studying swelling of Fe-Cr-Ni system and, mainly, austenitic stainless steels, particular attention was paid to study of the effect of such active elements as silicon and titanium. The most sufficiently Si (0.4 - 0.5 wt.%) affected the incubation time of swelling dose dependence. At transient and steady-state stages of swelling the phase precipitation and as a result depletion of solid solution with nickel and silicon are the main cause of affecting the character of swelling dose dependence. 32 refs.; 12 figs
