[en] Highlights: • A micro-CHP with biogas-fueled flame fuel cell for indigenous source. • Stable biogas fuel-rich combustion in porous media burner. • Maximum power of 1.4 W for a single micro-tubular FFC. • Analysis of performance degradation resulted from carbon deposition. - Abstract: A biogas-fueled flame fuel cell (FFC) unit is proposed for the micro-combined heat and power (CHP) system using indigenous energy source. With fuel-rich flame as both heater and reformer, FFC is advantageous for quick start-up, no sealing, and simple thermal management. In this study, a porous media burner with non-catalytic fuel-rich combustion was utilized to provide both stable high temperature environment and reformed syngas for the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC). The porous media burner and a micro-tubular SOFC were integrated directly in the biogas FFC reactor. The performance of fuel-rich combustion and electrochemical characteristic was studied for various equivalence ratios from 1.2 to 1.4. Experimental results showed that the reforming efficiency reached 42.3% with the porous media burner, using model biogas of 60% CH4 and 40% CO2 as fuel. The maximum power for a single tubular fuel cell reached 1.4 W when fed with model biogas at an equivalence ratio of 1.4. Furthermore, performance degradation caused by carbon deposition at the anode was investigated.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Support system initiating event (SSIE) is a special type of initiating event and should be treated appropriately in the probability safety assessment (PSA). The important technique issues to be addressed in modeling include: PSA modeling linking and quantification methodology, mission time for the standby trains or components, common cause failure (CCF), importance and uncertainty analysis results. The treatments method of these issues was revealed inconsistent for different analyzers and influenced the risk insights of PSA significantly at the present time. Based on the requirements of technical standards, this paper put forward the following suggestions through case analysis and comparison: a. SSIE fault trees should be linked with PSA overall model and quantified; b. Currently two common methods-Multiplier and Explicit are both available. However, the limitations of the two methods in the analysis of importance and uncertainty should be understood, and obvious deviations should be avoided. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In seismic PSA for nuclear power plant, the fragility of a structure or equipment is defined as the conditional probability of its failure at a given ground motion level. The complicated uncertainty distribution of seismic fragility makes it difficult to complete the quantification in seismic PSA. This paper studies the mathematical model of seismic fragility, and then calculates the mean value and the variance of fragility by numerical method. Several common uncertainty distribution types are used to approximate the distribution of seismic fragility, with the same mean value and the variance. The results show that Beta distribution can be used to approximate the seismic fragility distribution with a high level of accuracy. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] According to the requirements of the new version of nuclear safety regulation HAF102, which is generally common with references about Design Extension Conditions (DECs) analysis from IAEA and EUR, a DEC analysis for nuclear power plant is performed to summary the methodology and procedure for analysis of DECs without significant fuel degradation and the design for their safety features. A list of DECs without significant fuel degradation for a typical generation-three advanced pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant is obtained based on engineering judgement, deterministic assessments and probabilistic assessments, and the safety features of these conditions are also determined, whose reliability meets the probabilistic safety goal of the nuclear power plant through PSA analysis. AbstractAbstract
[en] The constructed Nuclear Power Plants in China have mainly adopted Deterministic analysis to implement categorization of structure, system and components. However, considering the balance of economy and safety, there are some inappropriate in the existing categorization of structures, systems and components. With the development of Probability Safety Assessment (PSA) and the application of Risk-Informed technology, a comprehensive approach which combines deterministic and probabilistic analysis and criteria has been proposed. According to 10.CFR 50.69 and RG 1.201, which are from the perspective of Probabilistic analysis, this paper categorizes systems and components into Safety Significant and Low Safety Significant by their safety degrees. Integrated with traditional deterministic categories, it has formed four different safety-classes which are RISC-1, RISC-2, RISC-3 and RISC-4 respectively. As for those RISC-3 components, the risk-informed categorization process determines that they are not significant contributors to plant safety. Therefore, special treatment requirements are removed for RISC-3 components and replaced with high-level requirements, to reduce unnecessary regulatory burden and budget cost and to improve economics of plants. In this paper, for instance, we will choose two typical systems of Fuqing NPP in China to implement the risk-informed categorization. And finally, conclusions can be drawn and optimization of existing categorization can be got. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Radiolabeled peptides hold unlimited potential in diagnostic applications and therapy of malignant tumor. Somatostatin analogue peptide (Lanreotide) is labeled directly with 188Re via the mixture of citrate and tartrate. The influences of reaction conditions such as pH, temperature, amount of stannous chloride, Lanreotide quantity, reaction time on labeling yield are investigated in detail. At the same time, the stability in vitro, quality control and animal test are evaluated. The experimental results show that Lanreotide reacts with 188Re for 40 min at pH 2 - 3 and 60 degree C, the labeling yield is at range of 88% - 94%. After purification of 188Re-Lanreotide with Sep-Pak C18 reverse phase extraction cartridge, the radiochemical purity (RP) is more than 95%. 188Re-Lanreotide is eliminated rapidly from the blood and is excreted through liver, the uptake of lung and intestine is high

AbstractAbstract
[en] Highlights: • Pt@SiO_2 core–shell NPs are synthesized via a simple one-pot synthetic route. • Ultrafine Pt NPs (∼4 nm) are embedded in well-proportioned SiO_2 nanospheres. • Pt@SiO_2 shows a high activity and good durability for H_2 generation from AB. - Abstract: Ultrafine platinum nanoparticles (NPs) embedded in silica nanospheres (Pt@SiO_2) have been synthesized in a NP-5/cyclohexane reversed-micelle system followed by NaBH_4 reduction. The as-synthesized core–shell nanocatalysts Pt@SiO_2 were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopes, X-ray powder diffraction analysis, energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer and nitrogen adsorption–desorption investigations. Interestingly, the as-synthesized core–shell nanocatalysts Pt@SiO_2 showed an excellent catalytic performance in hydrogen generation from the hydrolysis of ammonia borane (BH_3NH_3, AB) at room temperature. Especially, the catalytic performance of the Pt@SiO_2 remained almost unchanged after the five recycles and even after the heat treatment (673 K), because the silica shells inhibit aggregation or deformation of the metal cores. Besides, the kinetic studies showed that the catalytic hydrolysis of AB was first order with respect to the catalyst concentration and zero order with respect to the substrate concentration, respectively. The excellent catalytic activity and stability of Pt@SiO_2 can make it have a bright future in the practical application

AbstractAbstract
[en] From the study of the dynamics for the ring-like soliton clusters, we find that there exists a critical value of the ring radius, dcr, for the stationary rotation of the clusters with respect to the beam centre even in the presence of the relatively strong noise, and that the soliton clusters will not rotate but only undergo periodic collisions in the form of simple harmonic oscillator if the ring radius is large enough. We also show that the direction of the rotation can be opposite to the direction of phase gradient when the relative phase difference is within the domain 0 < |0| < π, while along the direction of phase gradient when the relative phase difference is within the domain π < |θ| < 2π.
