AbstractAbstract
[en] The relationship between GOT, γ-globulin, alkaline phosphatase, ICG-R15 and liver scintigram (anterior view) was studied in 37 patients with miscellaneous liver diseases. The length of the splenic image and the difference between right side and left side widths of the liver were indicated as liver scintigraphic findings. 1. γ-globulin and alkaline phosphatase tended to be slightly higher with remarkable splenic image. 2. All three patients with over 35% of ICG-R15 had atrophic type of the right lobe showing more than 13 cm of the spleen. At first sight, they were diagnosed as having liver cirrhosis. On the other hand, some of the patients who had normal or slightly abnormal ICG-R15 were suspected of having liver cirrhosis because of the long splenic image, but all had remarkable swelling of the right lobe. 3. The patients whom the difference between the right side and the left side widths was below 3 cm contained many patients with liver cirrhosis acompanied by atrophic type of the right lobe and remarkably abnormal ICG-R15. AbstractAbstract
[en] Over 80% of electric energy is generated by nuclear in France at EDF, the national company. The fact is also evaluated as the accomplishment of human endeavor for non-CO2 society. Peak demand of electricity appears in winter season in France and they tried at first to realize more equalized passage of electricity usage within a day. As the second succeed of their technique was the variable operation of the power plant following the variation of request by consumers after rigid manuals and actually tried experiences. For this industrial and social event they stressed the importance of philosophical concept of commissioning that was initially proposed by Descartes written in Discours de la methode'. Maintaining the higher level of economical operation of French nuclear system commissioning is showing its importance. (author)

[en] A microstructure of filamentary Hg1223 superconductor by using CaHgO2 for a vaporizing material was studied to improve the grain alignment and the transport Jc. A filamentary precursor Ba2Ca2Cu3Re0.2Ox was fabricated using a solution spinning method and partially melted in an evacuated quartz tube with a pellet of (CaHgO2)Ba2CaCu2.8Re0.2(CuF2)0.2Ox. The reacted sample was a single phase of Hg1223 with Tc value of 135 K. Plate-like grains were partly aligned along the fiber length by controlling the heating condition. The Jc value of the sample enhanced by using CaHgO2 in stead of HgO for the vaporizing material. Although the Jc value rapidly decreased by applying the field less than 0.1 T, the superconductivity at 77 K of the sample maintained in the field up to 8T

[en] The filamentary monolithic RE123 (RE=Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd) precursor was prepared by a solution spinning method. The precursor was partially melted under various conditions and then oxygenated. The influence of field dependence of Jc on the initial different RE element in the filamentary RE123 superconductors was examined. The high Jc values were attained for Nd123 and Eu123 samples partially melted in flowing 0.1% O2+Ar and for Sm123 and Gd123 samples partially melted in flowing 1% O2+Ar. The field dependence of Jc for Eu123 sample was superior to that for the other samples

[en] The UK started the first commercial nuclear generation in the world on the 17th of October in 1956 under the attendance of the Queen of Elizabeth II, and made development for all of required nuclear generation facilities except geological disposal. UK has 19 units of reactors in operation, but the former 21 units must be requested the decommissioning. She also contributed in the field of used fuel reprocessing with THORP, the Thermal Oxide Reprocessing Plant at Sellafield. Commissioning and re-commissioning are very important in this delicate chemical plant. Econo-Political decision of industrial privatization by Premier Thatcher gave great change to electricity sections. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority is trying to fulfill the responsibility of safe and secure reconstruction for new era. (author)

[en] The US has been making application of over 100 units of nuclear power generation from early 1957 as pioneer. On the other hand about 30 units are forced to be shut down. Nuclear units are also honorably given the political part by several Presidents at international stage in the history. In the unaccustomed period they were unable to avoid unwilling experience, as Three Mile Island and Indian Point. These are requesting the refinement of designing technology. US are facing aging of installed units and great duties for further development. That will be realization of more advanced reactors, high operational and administrative ability, establishment of efficient and stable fuel cycles, and process of long period of decommissioning. The art of commissioning is expected its smart usage at wide range of this technology. (author)

[en] The filamentary Sm123 precursor was prepared by a solution spinning method. The precursor was partially melted in flowing 0.1%O2 + Ar and 1%O2 + Ar. The transport Jc value for the filamentary Sm123 superconductors was examined at 77 K in applied magnetic fields up to 10 T. The Jc value higher than 104 A/cm2 was maintained up to 4 T for the samples melted in flowing 1%O2 + Ar. The Jc value gradually decreased with increasing applied magnetic fields from 4 to 6 T and the superconductivity rapidly deteriorated by applying the fields above 8 T. On the contrary, the Jc values drastically decreased for the samples melted in flowing 0.1%O2 + Ar by applying the fields higher than 1 T, and the superconductivity at 77 K was disappeared around 4 T

[en] In order to reduce thermal inputs through many measuring copper leads, we intended to fabricate a measuring leads unit using very fine YBa2Cu3O7 filaments. The long YBa2Cu3O7 filaments were prepared by a textile fiber spinning method for the oxide precursor. The 60 filaments with a size of 100 μm in diameter and 60 mm in length were attached onto three fiber-reinforced polymers, and were covered with epoxy resin. Both ends of the YBa2Cu3O7 filament were soldered with pin connectors through copper leads with 0.1 mm in diameter. The YBa2Cu3O7 measuring leads unit of 60 terminals was cooled by a pulse tube cryocooler. The newly developed YBa2Cu3O7 measuring leads unit demonstrates the extremely small heat loads of 1/10 in comparison with conventional copper measuring leads
