AbstractAbstract
[en] The chaotic synchronization between two bi-directionally coupled external cavity single-mode semiconductor lasers is investigated. Numerical simulation shows that anticipating synchronization and lag synchronization coexist and switch between each other in certain parameter regime. The anticipating time with different effects that were discussed quite differently in the previous theoretical analysis and experimental observation is determined by the involved parameters in the system

AbstractAbstract
[en] The multi-channel communication using chaotic synchronization of multi-mode lasers is investigated numerically. In a multi-mode laser system, it is shown that the chaotic synchronization appears within the corresponding cavity modes between two lasers and there is almost no synchronization between different cavity modes. Thus each pair of the corresponding laser cavity modes can be used as a channel in optical communication. It is found that the receiver laser synchronizes to the transmittal (carrier plus signal) rather than to the transmitter (carrier without signal). When a signal is encoded into the transmitter, it needs a short time period to recover the synchronization between the receiver and transmittal. The delay in the chaotic synchronization between receiver and transmittal can be used in encoding and decoding signals

AbstractAbstract
[en] The nitrogen doped porous carbon nanopolyhedrons (N-PCNPs)-multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) hybrid materials were prepared for the first time. Combining the excellent catalytic activities, good electrical conductivities and high surface areas of N-PCNPs and MWCNTs, the simultaneous determination of hydroquinone (HQ), catechol (CC) and resorcinol (RE) with good analytical performance was achieved at the N-PCNPs-MWCNTs modified electrode. The linear response ranges for HQ, CC and RE are 0.2-455 μM, 0.7-440 μM and 3.0-365 μM, respectively, and the detection limits (S/N = 3) are 0.03 μM, 0.11 μM and 0.38 μM, respectively. These results are much better than that obtained on some graphene or CNTs-based materials modified electrodes. Furthermore, the developed sensor was successfully applied to simultaneously detect HQ, CC and RE in the local river water samples

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper studies Tricon-based RPS T2 test strategy and the effects of 'Point to Point' self-diagnostic capacity for Tricon platform on T2 test strategy are analyzed. And then, the third-party simulation platform based on VBA is established to verify the test strategy. Through comparing the test strategy with that based on other platform, the paper summarizes the T2 test strategy's advantages and disadvantages and proposes the related improvement measures. The design concepts in this kind of test strategy are also suitable for RPS T2 test which is based on other DCS or FPGA platforms. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In general, the motor multi-pole rotor of the rare earth-cobalt magnet is made of several separate magnetic blocks. The technology to make this kind of rotor is rather complicated and difficult. This paper proposes a new mode rather than the tradiational one. The mean 8.6 x mean 4 x 15 mm and mean 12 x mean 6 x 11 mm toroids (cylinders) of multi-pole rotors of rare earth-cobalt magnets were manufactured and have been applied satisfactorily in two types of ministep-motors. AbstractAbstract
[en] The applicability of entanglement percolation protocol to real Internet structure is investigated. If the current Internet can be used directly in the quantum regime, the protocol can provide a way to establish long-distance entanglement when the links are pure nonmaximally entangled states. This applicability is primarily due to the combination of scale-free degree distribution and a high level of clustering, both of which are widely observed in many natural and artificial networks including the current Internet. It suggests that the topology of real Internet may play an important role in entanglement establishment.

AbstractAbstract
[en] An integrated neutrino spectrum is deduced from neutrino burst data of SN1987A. It is found that the spectrum can be fitted by an exponential function with kT around 4.2 MeV, corresponding to a primordial mass of the supernova >10 M/sub sun/. If neutrinos have nonzero rest mass, the time order of neutrino emission will be quite different. From this we can reach the preliminary conclusion that the electron neutrino mass is less than 10 meV

AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To explore the change of Platelet parameters, von-Willebrand factor(vWF), Fibrinogen (Fb), thrombus precursor protein (TpP) and D-dimer (D-D) in patients with malignant tumors of digestive trace and its clinical relevances. Methods: To detect the platelet parameters, vWF, Fb, TpP and D-D levels in 100 cases digestive tract tumor patients, 50 cases of patients with benign diseases of the digestive tract (control group) and the results were compared. Results: The levels of platelet parameters, vWF, Fb, TpP and D-D in patients with gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer and colorectal cancer were significantly higher than those of control group (P < 0.05). In those indicators, there is no substantiae difference between those groups of patients with gastrointestinal cancer (P > 0.05). The levels of platelet parameters, vWF, Fb, TpP and D-D in lymph node metastasis group were obviously higher than those without lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05). Conclusion: PTS exist in patients with tumors of digestive tract, manifested as secondary fibrinolysis, provide a boost to platelet activity and vascular endothelial cell injury. It might be affect the metastases and prognosis with digestive tract tumors. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Highlights: • An environmental friendly sodium tartrate (C4O6H4Na2) electrolyte is used. • SiC and PTFE nanoparticles reduce friction coefficient of composite films. • SiC and PTFE nanoparticles demonstrate a favorable synergistic effect on improving tribological properties of composite films. • Lubricating mechanisms of SiC and PTFE nanoparticles are discussed. - Abstract: Anodic films containing SiC and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) nanoparticles were successfully fabricated on Ti6Al4V alloy by using anodic oxidation method in an environmental friendly electrolyte. The morphology, structure and composition of the films were studied with the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The results showed that the film contained a layered structure and have a surface full of petaloid bulges, which was totally different from the common anodic oxide film of the porous kind. The tribological properties of the films were investigated with dry friction tests in terms of the friction coefficient, wear rate and the morphology of worn surfaces. The results indicated that the SiC/PTFE composite film exhibited much better anti-wear and anti-friction performances than that of the SiC composite film, the PTFE composite film and the ordinary film without nanoparticles. The SiC/PTFE composite film has friction coefficient of 0.1 and wear rate of 20.133 mg/m, which was decreased respectively by 80% and 44.5% compared with that of the ordinary film. The lubricating mechanisms of the composite film containing SiC and PTFE nanoparticles were discussed. PTFE nanoparticles could lead to the formation of lubricating layer while SiC nanoparticles inside the lubricating layer turned sliding friction to rolling friction

AbstractAbstract
[en] We study the effects of dilute Mg addition on the microstructure formation and mechanical properties of a ZnAl4Cu1 alloy. On the basis of the composition of the commercial alloy Z410 (4 wt% Al, 1 wt% Cu, and 0.04 wt% Mg), three laboratory alloys with different Mg contents (0.04 wt%, 0.21 wt% and 0.31 wt%) are characterised in terms of their mechanical properties and microstructures using ex-situ and in-situ tensile tests in conjunction with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). Increasing Mg content causes the precipitation of Mg_2Zn_1_1 phase precipitates and refined lamellar spacings in the eutectoid phase. The alloy with a medium Mg content (0.21 wt%) exhibits the highest yield strength both at room temperature and at elevated temperatures. Further, we show that dilute Mg alloying causes an improvement of the ductility of ZnAl4Cu1 base-alloys, especially at elevated temperatures. In addition, the alloys reveal two distinct deformation regimes distinguishable close to room temperature and at commonly employed strain rates, with work hardening and brittle fracture exhibited at room temperature and/or elevated strain rate (5×10"−"4 s"−"1), and work softening and ductile fracture at elevated temperature and/or low strain rate (6×10"−"6 s"−"1). The deformation mechanisms and fracture behaviour in both regimes are investigated and the underlying physical mechanisms of the observed phenomena are discussed.
