[en] Application of Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) to the monitoring of personal dose has made great progress in recent years and OSL dosimeter has been available commercially. Based on literatures, the mechanism of OSL, materials used for OSL dosimeters, and the measurement systems of OSL are introduced. Meanwhile, the advantage of OSL over TLD and the application of OSL are also introduced

[en] In this paper, the respiratory tract models developed by ICRP and USEPA are compared with each other. Through the comparison of the physiological characteristics, arrange of application, as well as the deposition, it is concluded that the ICRP model can compacted with the USEPA model. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] An index for the integral characterization of risk is necessary for improving risk management, comparing the effects of various practices on the environment and keeping risk as low as reasonably achievable while allowing economic development. Public health risk has been used as an index to compare and combine the risks from the presence of a variety of contaminants. In 1994, International Commission on Radiological Protection published the Publication 66 'Human Respiratory Tract Model for Radiological Protection'. Meanwhile US EPA published 'Methods for Derivation of Inhalation Reference Concentrations and Application of Inhalation Dosimetry'. Basically the concept of Reference Concentration (RfC) is similar to that of DAC used in radiation protection. Both of them are derived from the deposited amount of interested contaminants in the respiratory tract. In an attempt to assess the public health risk by combining the ICRP model and the deposited amount corresponding to values of RfC, the main application, especially the fractional deposition, of the respiratory tract model of US EPA is compared with the new respiratory tract model of ICRP. For normal nose breather, when the AMADs of monodisperse aerosol are 0.5 η m, 1 η m, 2 η m, 3 η m, 5 η m, 7 η m and 10 η m, minute volume is 1.2m3/h (20L/mim), the corresponding total fractional depositions calculated by the model of the US EPA are 0.33, 0.50, 0.72, 0.85, 0.95, 0.97 and 0.93. With the same condition, the total fractional deposition calculated by the ICRP model is 0.35, 0.51, 0.70, 0.78, 0.82, 0.81 and 0.77. For polydisperse aerosol with default values of ICRP for occupational and environmental exposures, the fractional depositions calculated by US EPA model are 0.82 and 0.50 while that by ICRP are 0.82 and 0.47. In conclusion, (1) The ICRP model is more accurate than the US EPA model and has a wider application. (2) For monodisperse aerosol, when the AMAD of aerosol is less than 3 η m there is no significant difference between the fractional depositions calculated by the two models. (3) For polydisperse aerosol, there is no significant difference between the fractional depositions calculated by the two models using ICRP default values. So, since there is no default values for MMAD in the RfC methodology of US EPA, the default value of AMAD suggested by ICRP for public can be adopted in the public health risk assessment. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The most useful colloidal rhenium can be classified into two kinds according to its radionuclide: the 188Re labelled colloid and the colloidal rhenium labeled with other radionuclide. Rhenium-188 sulphur colloid has been shown to be an effective treatment as a radiation synovectomy agent. 188Re-labeled colloid, in addition was used to evaluate the effectiveness of this agent on some tumors such as melanoma, liver cancer in mice. For mapping sentinel nodes in lymphoscintigraphy, 99Tcm labeled rhenium colloid is a suitable agent

AbstractAbstract
[en] The precisions and its sources of spatial resolutions of tracking chambers and mass resolutions of dimuon signals in ALICE Dimuon Forward Spectrometer are explored by tracking and reconstruction of AliRoot software. The dependences of γ mass resolution on spatial resolution of tracking chambers are presented with and without background events through simulations. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Multiplicity distributions of negative binomial distribution (NBD) and modified (NBD are obtained from a birth process model with an immigration. The ratio of factorial cumulant moment to factorial moment, i.e., H moment is calculated from different multiplicity distributions of NBD, modified NBD and the three fireball model, which shows an oscillatory behavior when there is a truncation of multiplicity. The oscillation of H moment is related to the common character of the truncated multiplicity distributions

AbstractAbstract
[en] Based on the analysis of the difference between the accident severity categorization used in the Ministry of Railway and that used in the safety analysis of the transporting spent fuel, a method used for the classification of the railway accident in accordance with the requirement of the safety analysis of transporting spent fuel is suggested. The method classifies the railway accidents into 10 scenarios and make it possible to scale the accident through directly using the data documented by the Ministry of Railway without any additional effort

AbstractAbstract
[en] A scheme for probabilistic teleportation of an unknown three-atom entangled state via a five-atom non-maximally entangled cluster state as quantum channel is proposed. In this scheme, the sender performs two Bell state and a single-atom measurements on the atoms, the receiver can reconstruct the original state with a certain probability by introducing an auxiliary atom and operating appropriate unitary transformations and controlled-not (C-not) operations according to the sender Alice's measurement results. As a result, the probability of successful teleportation is determined by the smallest two of the coefficients' absolute values of the cluster state. The considerable advantage of our scheme is that we employ a non-maximally entangled cluster state as quantum channel in the scheme, which can greatly reduce the amount of entanglement resources and need less classical bits. If we employ a maximally entangled cluster state as quantum channel, the probabilistic teleportation scheme becomes usual teleportation, the successful probability being 100%. (general)
