AbstractAbstract
[en] Highlights: • The surface movement induced by thermocapillary convection in the liquid bridge of high Pr number fluid can be extremely small, in the order of microns. It is not easy to capture such tiny surface movements in gas-liquid two phase flow simulations, especially when the surface displacement is smaller than one mesh spacing. The Volume of Fluid method would have an insurmountable difficulty in overcoming this spatial resolution problem. In contrast, the level set approach can avoid this problem using the following algorithm developed in the present work and described below, Step 1. Determine a monitoring point on the surface. Step 2. Construct the level set function ϕ by choosing the sign of ϕ to be negative inside the surface and positive outside the surface. Step 3. Calculate the position of the monitoring point using the information of grid point found out in step 2. • In this paper, an investigation on oscillating characteristic of free surface in a liquid bridge for high Pr number fluids under gravity has been conducted numerically based on the improved mass conserving level set approach and a new algorithm which is used to capture any micro-scale migrations of dynamic freesurface. In the steady stage of thermocapillary convection. The flow pattern is a symmetric cell flow structure inside the liquid bridge. The moving track of the vortex centers on both sides appears the shape of axisymmetric hook. In the oscillatory stage of thermocapillary convection. The nature of oscillatory thermocapillary convection is the coupling effects of oscillation mechanism of temperature, velocity and surface. The oscillatory thermocapillary convection originates from hot corner, and temperature first regularly oscillates at the hot corner. • The temperature amplitude near the free surface is larger than that inside the liquid bridge. The velocity of surface flow is larger than that in the inner flow in the liquid bridge. The onset of velocity oscillation lags behind that of the temperature oscillation at hot corner. The amplitudes of temperature and velocity are all increased when the position of monitoring point is close to the intermediate height, which explains that the variation of oscillations is obvious at the intermediate height. Meanwhile, the oscillation law of velocity is the same as that of surface near the intermediate height, and two oscillatory bifurcations occurred distinctly. The vortex center turns from symmetry movement to the asymmetry migration in the oscillation stage. It is expected that our findings will help to expand the knowledge for thermocapillary convection. - Abstract: An investigation on oscillating characteristic of free surface in a liquid bridge for high Pr number fluids under gravity has been conducted numerically. Against the former studies, free surface is treated as a deformable surface in the direct numerical simulation (DNS) of liquid bridge by using a mass conserving level set method for the first time. The results show that, the moving track of vortex centers appears the shape of axisymmetric hook in the stable stage of thermocapillary convection, and the fluctuation of surface velocity is closely relative to the motion of cell flow toward the center and cold disk. In the process of transforming from the stable stage to oscillatory stage, the moving track of vortex centers of cell flow shows the asymmetry and step characteristic. The coupling effects of the temperature, velocity and free surface oscillations constitute complete mechanism of thermocapillary convection oscillations. The temperature firstly oscillates at the hot corner, and transfer direction of temperature oscillation is from the hot corner to inner. The velocity of surface flow is larger than that of internal flow, and the surface flow is supplied by the bulk return flow with the disturbance information of the velocity. The velocity oscillation lags behind the temperature oscillation at the hot corner. The closer to the intermediate height, the larger amplitudes of temperature and velocity are. The oscillation law of velocity and free surface at the intermediate height are the same, and there are two obvious oscillation bifurcations.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Due to the presence of extra top quark T in the little Higgs model, the CKM matrix is not unitary and the flavor changing neutral currents may exist at the tree level. The authors discuss the possibility of detecting the flavor changing signals of the Littlest Higgs (LH) model at the high-energy linear e+e- collider (ILC) via the processes e+e-→(t-bar)c + tc-bar and e+e-→[(t-bar)c + tc-bar]νe(ν-bar)e. The authors find that the resonance production cross section for the process e+e-→(t-bar)c + tc-bar is significantly large, which can be detected in the future ILC experiment. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The littlest Higgs model with T-parity predicts the existence of the neutral, weakly interacting, new gauge boson BH, which can be seen as an attractive dark matter candidate. We study production of the new gauge boson BH via eγ and ep collisions. We find that BH can be abundantly produced via the subprocesses e-γ→-BH and γq→BHQ, which might give rise to characteristic signals. Some discussions about the SM backgrounds for this kind of signals are also given. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The presence of the top-pions πt0,± in the low-energy spectrum is an inevitable feature of the topcolor scenario. Taking into account the constraints of the present experimental limit of the lepton flavor violating (LFV) process μ→eγ on the free parameters of topcolor-assisted technicolor models, we study the contributions of the neutral top-pion πt0 to the LFV processes μ+μ-→τμ (or τe), γγ→τμ (or τe), e+e-→τμ, and eγ→eπt0→eτμ(e) via the flavor changing couplings πt0lilj and discuss the possibility of searching for the LFV signals via these processes in future lepton colliders

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the context of the littlest Higgs model, we study the associated production of the Higgs boson and a top quark (th production) at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The cross sections for s-channel, t-channel processes and the relative correction for the total cross section are presented. In a part of parameter space, the cross sections can be distinctly deviated from the predictions of Standard Model. We also investigate the signal and backgrounds for the th production at the LHC. However, due to the large QCD backgrounds, it is not very hopeful to directly observe the th signal in most of the parameter space of LH model. It is found that with 30 fb-1 of integrated luminosity, in a narrow range of the parameter space c=0.8 and f≤1.62 TeV, a statistical significance of 3σ can be achieved. More than 30 fb-1 luminosity will enhance the significance and the possibility of detecting the signal.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Polar coordinate transformation method and its derivative algorithm are a common method of ring artifact reduction. Although the effect of this method is good and fast, but the disadvantage is equally obvious: the processed image will appear obvious blurring, especially in the fringe of the image. The paper presents an adaptive segmentation method which based on the polar coordinates transformation method. The experiment proved that this method can provide a better processed image, which has a clearer fringe. The method will also automatically skip the area without valid data to reduce the amount of computer's calculation, so as to speed up the image processing speed. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We present a novel implementation of the MDC track reconstruction algorithm based on modern FPGA technologies. The basic principle of the Dubna track reconstruction algorithm is ported from the previously implemented software into the FPGA fabric. Working as processing modules in compute nodes and together with other feature extraction algorithms, track reconstruction contributes to select interesting events and lower the data rate for storage in real-time. The hardware platform will be the newly constructed ATCA-based compute nodes

AbstractAbstract
[en] Many interference sources exist in the industrial field, which affects the accuracy of data transmission. The paper firstly analyzes the sources of interference, then classifies them, and presents corresponding solutions. In terms of software, adopt software fault tolerance, signal filtering and sensitivity correction algorithms to remove false data, reduce data fluctuations, and improve system anti-jamming capability. And thus ensure high accuracy of data transmission. And verify the methods on the power load monitoring system, and testing results show that the relative error of each data display is less than 1%, and no false alarm appears, and achieve the desired effect. AbstractAbstract
[en] In the context of the littlest Higgs (LH) model, we estimate the production cross section of the process e-γ→e-H in the future high-energy linear e+e- collider (ILC) with the center-of-mass (CM) energy (S)1/2 = 500 GeV. Our numerical results show that the contributions of the LH model to this process are very small in most of the parameter space allowed by the electroweak precision measurement data, and are very difficult to be detected in the future ILC experiments.
