[en] A method is proposed for separating niobium from a number of elements by sorption of niobium on AV-17 anion-exchanger with subsequent desorption, characterized by the fact that for separating small quantities of niobium from large quantities of titanium, vanadium and molybdenum an ammonium molybdate solution and a hydrochloric solution of molybdenum (5) are preliminarily introduced into the starting product; the resulting blue-coloured niobium-molybdenum heteropolycomplex is sorbed from 0.30-0.35 N sulphuric acid medium on AV-17 anion-exchanger in SO₄-form with subsequent washing of the resin with sulphuric acid solution and desorption of niobium by a potassium hydroxide solution
