AbstractAbstract
[en] Transformation of human cells requires both SV40 large T and small t antigens. Plasmids that contained mutations in the amino-terminal dnaJ domain of the early region fail to transform human diploid fibroblasts. However, large T dnaJ mutants can be rescued by plasmids that express early region products other than large T antigen. The protein found to be responsible for such complementation was the third early region product, 17KT. Similar to large T, this protein reduces levels of the retinoblastoma-related protein, p130, and stimulates cell-cycle progression of quiescent fibroblasts, two activities of large T that are disrupted by dnaJ mutations

AbstractAbstract
[en] In terms of the study on site selection of geological disposal of LIL radioactive waste in north-west China, a numerical prediction of "2"3"9Pu migration for potential groundwater pollution in the unsaturated zone was conducted with the HYDRUS-ID model. The results showed that the groundwater will not be contaminated by the migration of soluble "2"3"9Pu. And there is a faint possibility that "2"3"9Pu migration through groundwater path might have an unacceptable impact on ecosphere. Measurements of the distribution coefficient, K_d, are critical in the determination of sorption-induced retardation of radionuclide transport. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] There are rich clay mines holding in one area, so it's necessary to know about these clays' sorption capacity to Pu, for building radioactive waste repository in the area. Distribution coefficients of Pu onto different clays were acquired in static method, with the result about 104. The size of clay is different, but the result of Kds is near. In addition, it's estimated how far Pu moves in the most rapid speed in the clay based on these Kids', disregarding the influence of Pu-colloid. In a word, as a kind of backfilling material clays in the area can effectively prevent Pu from moving to environment, and when designing the backfilling layer, it's not necessary to catch clays through NO.200 sieve, if only considering the influence of Kd. AbstractAbstract
[en] This system consists of internal gas ionization chambers (IC Number 1(volume 1.94 L), IC Number 2 (volume 1.54 L)), the Keithley 617 programmable electrometer, a computer with an interface to control it and some programmes for data acquiring and processing in different conditions. The system is calibrated with a standard liquid 226Ra source. The influence factors are tested through a series of experiments, and the uncertainties are also considered. The calibration factors are 24.62 Bq/pA(IC Number 1) and 23.90 Bq/pA (IC Number 2). respectively

AbstractAbstract
[en] Distribution of plutonium in the rocks is studied by batch experiments, we given results for factor influence it. The factors that effect on the absorption experiment are granularity of rock, PH, ratio of solid and liquid. Come to a conclusion, value of distribution in the rocks is increasing while granularity of rock is minishing, ratio of solid and liquid is increasing. Value of distribution is maintained when PH is within 9.0. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To explore the value of urinary type IV collagen for early diagnosis of diabetic microangiopathy. Methods: Urinary IV C was determined by radioimmunoassay in 35 normal subjects and 86 patients with diabetes. Correlation analysis was made between urinary IV C amount and course of disease, age, blood IVC, FBG, INS, SBp. Results: The concentration of urinary IVC in controls, patients without and with diabetic microangiopathy were 77.70 ± 12.91 μg/24 h, 88.74 ± 19.58 μg/24 h, 129.99 ± 30.23 μg/24 h respectively. The concentration of urinary IVC in patients with microangiopathy was higher than those of patients without microangiopathy and control (p < 0.001, 0.001); and urinary IVC in patients without microangiopathy was also significantly higher than that of control (p < 0.01). There was positive correlation between urinary IVC and course of disease, blood IVC and SBp. Conclusion: Urinary IVC is a sensitive marker for the early diagnosis of diabetic microangiopathy

AbstractAbstract
[en] Highlights: • Twelve piperazinium- and guanidinium-based ionic liquids were synthesized and characterized. • Antimicrobial activities of the ionic liquids against E. coli and S. aureus were investigated. • Cytotoxicity on the rat C6 glioma cells (C6) and human embryonic kidney cells (HEK-293) were evaluated. • The ionic liquids with the [BF_4]"− anion and with benzene ring on cation exhibit relatively high toxicity. - Abstract: Twelve piperazinium- and guanidinium-based ionic liquids (ILs) were synthesized, and characterized by "1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity have been investigated to provide the information whether the newly synthesized ILs are toxic or not. The antimicrobial effects of these ILs on gram negative and gram positive bacteria are evaluated on the basis of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) measurements. The membrane damages of bacteria in the presence of ILs are observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The cytotoxicity data of the ILs on HEK-293 and C6 cells are obtained by MTT cell viability assay. The disruption of cell cycle is analyzed by the flow cytometry. The results show that most of the ILs exhibit low toxicity, and the ILs with tetrafluoroborate anion and with benzene ring on cation are the species with relatively high toxicity among the studied ILs. The fundamental data and results can provide some useful information for the further studies and applications of the ILs.
