AbstractAbstract
[en] Analytical methods for 25 cations, 5 anions, as well as total residue, total oxide, density and free acid are developed. The HLLW sample taken from reprocessing plant was analysed by 18 different methods. Two or more methods with different principles are used to check the accuracy for the major chemical composition, and the obtained results are agreed well. The complete and accurate data are provided for further HLLW treatment and disposal

AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors describe a determination method of Ru, Rh and Pd in HLLW with cation-exchange separation and ICP-AES measurement. A sample of HLLW was treated with the hydrochloride acid containing enough sodium chloride, then passed through a strongly acidic cation-exchange resin column, the Ru, Rh and Pd as chloro-complexes go to the eluate while the interference elements are absorbed on the resins in the column. The Ru, Rh and Pd are collected and determined by ICP-AES. The obtained results show that the recovery is 90% and the relative standard deviation is 6% as the Ru content within the range (35-230) x 10-6; the recovery is 106% and RSD is 10% as the Rh content within (2-20) x 10-6; and the recovery of Pd is 72% as its content less than 2 x 10-6

AbstractAbstract
[en] The method of determination of U in 235U slag by X-ray-fluorescence (XRF) analysis is developed. U in acidolysis solution and dregs of 235U slag are determined by thin sample technique and standard added method. The total U in slag is given. The results of XRF are agree well with those obtained from FIA and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The results are compared with two non-destructive assay (NDA) methods, the calibration data are provided to DNA

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is very important for purifying UF_6 to detect the consistency of HF. The analyzer is first invented in China. It is designed with many new technique: (1) For on-line analyzing HF, the infrared photometry is selected. In near infrared area, 2.45 μm is selected as characteristic absorbing wavelength of HF. 2.20 μm is selected as reference absorbing wavelength of HF. (2) Double time-resolved photon beams and single geometric photon beam, which decreases instability of light source. (3) The gas cell is designed with the technique of multi-reflection. The photon distance of gas cell is 174 cm, which decreases the determination limit of HF. (4) The decontamination plant of water vapor is used to eliminate disturb of water vapor in the air. (5) The thermostat decreases the influence of environmental temperature. (6) The part of photoelectric seclusion eliminates the disturbance of electric signal each other. (7) The card of data collection with 32 channels can collect the signals of temperature and pressure at one time. (8) The software of Analyzer V1.0 is designed intelligently. The operation is simple and the function is profuse. The performance of analyzer is famous. The pressure area is 0-1000 Pa, the signal area is 0-10000 mV, the precision is 0.2%-10.2%, the determination limit is 10.5 Pa. The excursion of zero is 10% in vacuum state within 18 hours. The excursion of HF of 200 Pa is 1% within 15 hours. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Uranium content in uranium metallurgical slag is determined with three kinds of destructive analysis (DA) methods: flow inject analysis (FIA), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) to examine the accuracy of nondestructive analysis (NDA) methods for segmented gamma ray scanning system (SGS) and active well coincidence counter (AWCC). The result indicates that the analytical data of three kinds of DA methods agree with each other very well. The accurate uranium content in metallurgical slag is obtained. The results measured by NDA instruments SGS and AWCC are calibrated

AbstractAbstract
[en] Absorption of UO22+ from dilute solution by anabaena azollae is completed within 2 minutes. The optimum pH is among 5-8.5, which suggested that [UO2OH]+ is the major form to be bound by anabaena azollae. Li+, Na+ K+ and NH4+ or F-, Cl-, SO42- and NO3- have not obvious effect on the absorption of uranium. Cu2+, Cd2+, Mn2+ and Zn2+ decreased the absorption capacity of uranium by anabaena azollae. Fresh cells of 3.5-4.5 g/L (in dry weight) is able to attenuate uranium in simulated wastewater from 5.5 mg/L to 0.05 mg/L after 4-7 serial experiments
