AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper emphasises the importance of diagnostic techniques to the research of high temperature and high density plasmas produced by lasers and presents, briefly, the progresses and developments in the field at CAEP (China Academy of Engineering Physics) in the past ten years. In addition, the future research is also introduced

AbstractAbstract
[en] The solvent extraction of cerium (III) by 1-(2-phridylazo)-2-naphthol (PAN or HL) in chloroform has been studied as a function of contact time, the pH of aqueous phase and the concentration of the extractant in the organic phase. The results obtained suggest that the mechanism for the extraction reaction is the formation of complex CeL3(o). From the distribution coefficient D, extraction equilibrium constant Kex of reaction, and pH0.5 are estimated

AbstractAbstract
[en] A study on solvent extraction of cerium(III) ion with 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphtol (PAN or HL) in chloroform from perchloric acid solution is described. The effect of equilibrium time, the pH of the aqueous phase and the concentration of extractant in organic phase on the extraction efficiency of cerium (III) was studied. (author)

[en] An attenuation correction method for axial symmetric reconstruction in laser-produced plasma was proposed. For this method, an algorithm was put forward. Simulation results show that the reconstruction effects with attenuation correction improved compared with the effects without attenuation correction

AbstractAbstract
[en] A CT technique for laser-plasma diagnostic and a three-dimensional (3D) image reconstruction program (CT3D) have been developed. The 3D images of the laser-plasma are reconstructed by using a multiplication algebraic reconstruction technique (MART) from five pinhole camera images obtained along different sight directions. The technique has been used to measure the three-dimensional distribution of X-ray of laser-plasma experiments in Xingguang II device, and the good results are obtained. This shows that a CT technique can be applied to ICF experiments

AbstractAbstract
[en] The transmission grating is coupled to X-ray CCD (TG-XCCD), and a set of system for measuring soft X-ray spectra is obtained. The method of orthogonal function expansion (OFE) for unfolding spectra from the data measured by TG-XCCD is put forward. The unfolded spectra by OFE are compared with the unfolded spectra by iterative method. Their results are basically identical. The measurement error is analyzed

AbstractAbstract
[en] The inverted Abel transform is necessarily used to compute the X-ray emission radial distribution and optical holographic interferometric data. Using the Zernicke polynomial expansion method, the inverted Abel transform is numerically calculated. The expansion coefficients are solved by least squares method. Because the line integrals of Zernicke polynomials is analysed functions, this method is very simple

AbstractAbstract
[en] The photolysis of nitrosyl ruthenium complexes in nitric acid media has been investigated in detail using low pressure mercury lamp (254 nm). The UV spectra of nitrosyl ruthenium complexes is also studied. The experimental results show that the photolysis of nitrosyl ruthenium in nitric acid media obeys pseudo-first order kinetics. The rate constant is affected by the concentration of nitric acid and has a maximum at 2 mol/L HNO3. In temperature range from 10 degree C to 40 degree C, the rate constant decreases with the increasing of the temperature

AbstractAbstract
[en] The expansion processes of laser-heated plasmas for both gold planar targets and glass sphere targets were studied using space and time-resolved and energy and time resolved techniques and a laser probe on the Xing Guang (1011W) and Shen Guang (1012W) laser facilities. The blow-off stream structure was observed on the sphere target surface where a support pole was attached. The disintegration process of hohlraum targets was studied semi-quantitatively with the laser probe. Furthermore, the speed distributions of ions ejected from both planar and hohlraum targets were measured with Faraday cups
